Latency Issue (Americas)

Hello Names’ Mike

**To avoid necro’ing anothers’ thread I thought after following the steps here without success **

Blizzard Support - Diablo III Latency Problems

I’ve been unable to play because my wizards’ spells would be delayed when cast (I dont see the spell travelling to target often) or enemy monsters just rubber band around (as does my HP).

Perhaps someone knowledgeable could see where I went wrong.

Hey, Mike! Thank you for including a WinMTR test! The WinMTR test and behavior are pointing to some concerns with the connection. The test itself is showing issues at the home network.

There is a 1% loss on the home network and the latency is a bit too high for a wired and wireless connection. Generally, for a wired connection, you can it as close to 0 or 1ms as possible. For a wireless connection it should be under 10ms for the average. Are you currently wired or wireless?

If you are on Windows 10, it should help to try resetting the network settings.

  1. Click on the Start Menu
  2. Select on the Settings :gear: option.
  3. In the Windows Settings, click on “Network & Internet”
  4. Near the bottom of the new window, click on “Network Reset”

If it continues, do you experience the delays and latency issues on an alternative connection or a VPN?
