Just dropped by to say Hi!

Hello! Stay a while and listen!
I dropped by to say hi!

It was more than 3 years since I last played D3 and thought of continuing the adventure with D4; unfortunately just after a few hours, I did not like it :frowning:

How are you all doing?

Purdy gud.

I just got into D4 about three weeks ago. Was liking it enough to keep playing. Then about a week ago I found out that the patch which is coming next week is making large system changes.

I hope it doesn’t kill my char or change things so much that I don’t like the game anymore… just three weeks in. Lol During BFA, I walked away from years of playing WoW because of the repeated drastic changes they kept making to the long-standing, core systems.

You might want to really read over those notes, because from everything in them, season 11 in D4 is looking to be a bigger grind than most are likely to be happy with. Seems that the pivot is to cater to the hardcore, so if you’re more of a casual player, just make sure you temper your expectations. So far the only real net positives for sure are potentially the masterworking changes. Virtually everything else just screams “stay away” to me personally.

Right now there isn’t anything to really entice me back into D4 at all. There just seems to be no real direction that Blizzard wants to take the game and it feels like they’re literally just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

I’m assuming you’re playing the Campaign? D4’s campaign is its strongest point, though it’s long enough that I wouldn’t want to repeat it every season. Was a fun first run though!

Problem is that their “Adventure/Bounty Mode” equivalent is basically homogeneous throughout; you have the same activities/quests/etc available to you at the start as you do at the finish. So your sense of progression gets thrown off because all you’re really doing is getting more efficient at the stuff you’ve already been doing.

They do have a slightly worse version of GR’s (imo) and some bosses to farm. Beyond that… it’s just, “how much faster/more efficient in doing the same 4 activities over, and over, did this piece of gear make me?”

Yep! About to start Act 3. I haven’t decided if I’ll go much past the campaign. From reading up on the D4 end game, what you said above seems to be what many people think. But I’m fine with just the campaign if that’s how it works out. In the end, I tend to like the stories being told in video games.

I see Leviathan in D4 a lot. Maybe it was the other one the whole time
