Is Immortal going to be released on the 25th?

No hype train, take it or leave it, I am just providing the links.

Leak Suggests Imminent Diablo: Immortal Release

There was a recent post from our friends over at Battlechat regarding a leak found on the Chinese website d.163.com. According to the leaked image below, Diablo: Immortal may be releasing on October 25th–one week from the start of BlizzCon. All leaks like this should be taken with a grain of salt, but if Immortal were to release on the 25th of October, then it would certainly mean something much bigger is planned for BlizzCon itself.

What do you think of this leak? If Immortal released before BlizzCon, would you download and play it? Let us know in the comments!

Please release D:I already, get it out of the way so we can get on with D4 at Blizzcon.

I have absolutely no interest in any mobile games and will not play them. :-1:

Well, it’s been said that at the end of all things…oh erm, they said that it’s been ready to go for months now.

And they sure as hell weren’t going to cancel it. So it would come out sooner or later.

They will never cancel there game for the Chinese market too much profit to be made

I doubt the announcement for release will occur at blizzcon due to the reaction for it’s initial announcement.

Also, that article, I believe is in Taiwanese so not only do we not understand it since we can’t read Taiwanese, but I expect this thread to be closed due to the recent sensitivities surrounding said region.

If the reports are accurate the Chinese market thinks the game is crap.

Yea but it was still made for there market

It may be made for their market but if no one want’s it they may not release it. The last thing Blizzard wants is for a game that caused so much controversy to fail.

We will see what happens but Netease probably has a lot invested in this game

A week before BlizzCon is rather odd timing.

They’re probably going for as much damage control as possible, keeping it completely out of the Blizzcon schedule considering what happened last year.

Seems odd but it could be. I guess we will know soon enough then if it is releasing globally, that is.

There were playable demo’s at Blizzcon last year for D:I.

I’m sure there will be this Blizzcon, if it’s being released in America.

Since we’ve received absolutely no word on D:I since last Blizzcon, my guess is it is possible it will only be for Asia.
But I don’t see that likely.

I feel D:I will be received by some from console/pc diablo crowd, but mainly a new younger crowd with no real history with Blizzard may embrace the mobile game, along with other mobile games they come up with.

And about being released on 25th…

Nothing is written in stone with Blizzard.
Even with this being the intended release date America’s for D:I, it could change at the last moment.

Blizzard does not know what they are doing for the most part.
With the HK pr disaster they have pulled back even more.

If D4 is nothing more than a trailer, may be withheld till next year.
Diablo may only be about sets and QoL coming.

i personally hope we can play this game on the future this seems really fun for me

Imagine that… annoying your entire existing PC / console player base in order to announce a mobile phone game that none of them want only to discover that the target audience for the mobile phone game don’t want it either.

Immortal Dev: How much irony do you want in the game?
Blizzard: Double it!

So you’re speaking for everyone then? I guarantee at least half of you are going to try it. So tired of the fanboys whining about this. The game wasnt the controversy, the entitled fans are, just because they didn’t get to see a game we all already knew was being made and they just weren’t ready to show yet and act like them making a side game for us to have while we wait in the mean time is a slap in the face and d4 development was halted. Get over yourselves, they’ll show it when theyve got enough to show, impatient children

Get off of your high horse and do the math. The last announcement we had for content in D3 was 3 years ago. I am no longer 12 years old, nor do I live in China, so I am in the 50% that will not play games on my phone. Did the people who took time off of work to travel to Blizzcon ask for a Mobile game? Can you point me to any fan site from the West in which the players were saying “we want a Mobile Diablo.” No you cannot because it is all about China. Blizzarad wants the money and rightly so it is a new market for them. However, when was the last content announcement for PC gamers? Let me help you, it was 3 years ago.

Give your head a shake, here in the west most don’t
play games on our phones, especially ARPG’s.
Calling people children is pretty condescending, considering
your probably to young to have played anything but D3.

Well when Diablo 3 first released there was a lot of talk on the forums to put Diablo on to mobile phones
And why does it only have to come from fan sites

Hmmm, a game, an xpac, and a dlc in the last 17 years for PC Diablo. Meanwhile, PC Diablo fans have seen their game ported out to 3 consoles and a mobile trash game announced in the last 7 years. I think the Diablo fans are overly patient.

Why would I play a stripped down game on a 4 inch screen, when I can play a full game on a 24 inch screen. Besides, I am old school and have never owned a mobile phone, so I definitely won’t be playing the mobile trash game.

Um, no. The controversy was that their feature announcement was a mobile trash game made a Con with mostly PC fans there. There is no entitlement with the fans. We are customers. We buy what we want, we don’t buy what we don’t want. Don’t expect us to get all excited for something we didn’t ask for or want.

Well considering you act like entitled children and got bent all out of shape because there was nothing new for PC last year and unlikely to be anything this year and scream blue murder because Blizzard is expanding into the mobile market and there was nothing for PC as if PC users are the only people allowed to play and enjoy Diablo and no one else is
