If personal Loot was confirmed

can’t believe it this dude is still crying over something stated month ago xD?

define “slight modification”.
but eitherway almost no one in this forum seem to want any kind of loot rate increase.
so if your definition of D3 instanced loot involve increased drop rate compared to diablo 2 vanilla loot rate , i highly doubt that.

Oh that’s a great idea!

Nickie poseted a thorough post about it there go check it out.

Define what PRIVATE LOOT means before asking for it

Gamma, you seem to be fixated on loot drop rate, I have never in any of my posts suggested to increase drop rates from monsters that is different from what you already can get from playing solo for the same time invested.

I can’t pretend to know the numbers on this, but if you have access to them so, please post the exact numbers and source. What I can source is the reddit D2R survey that favors several of my arguments. 4352 people participated source:

xxhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1bZDRPXHVjNCh5mrGBwlkyG1JOWYfxLg-/view

that’s why i said define the modification.

people on this survey were about a personal loot system that is like this :
if a boss drop 5 items , 5 players will get 1 items each and 3 will get nothing.

but if your idea of D3 personal loot is making it so the boss will in total drop more than 5 items in total (by being 5 items per players like it would be the case if they all did solo ) then i highly doubt people would agree to it.

but if you idea is simply a system allocation (you only can pick what the system allocated to you) without changing what the monster would have dropped in FFA in total in this same scenario , then yes many people do agree and this survey aswell.

other than that i’am aware of both the thread (i posted in it ) and the survey of course.

As I mentioned before, please read all the threads already posted about this topic. I personally like Nickie’s post because I agree with the compromises made there.

It’s like you have a nice, new pair of refurbished collectors edition nike’s and here, ‘geniuses’ like you are suggesting we smear them with dog excrement.

Trying to make the game like D3 is idiotic at best.

As already pointed out, if you don’t want to compete for loot, don’t play with others, or be clever enough to MF zones without other players.

except that he did say :

-Everyone gets their own instance of randomized drops like Diablo 3? In that case take a walk.

(meaning : go away)

and in the end during the thread , we discussed why increased overall drop rate compared to FFA is bad and no one would agree to it.
it’s nice to say that you personally liked nickie post , but the first post isn’t the final thing , it’s the others post xD

it would be dumb to have a system of loot which would drop more loot than the other (FFA)
allocation is one thing, but anything that can change what a boss would drop in term of quality or amount in total is a no no , and don’t take the survey as a proof of it when it’s stated that it would be without any drop change

so once again , if it’s no change on drop rate and only allocate drops through rng it’s ok , if it does change what the monsters would have initially dropped in total though it’s not

Keep arguing the same old argument I will keep responding with the same response. This is not a D3 exclusive system. Many successful games adapted this and it not just D3.

I want to have the option to play with other players but the cost of unfair competition is too high.

well you wont have it the other way around anyway

get your damn refound, stop being that dense with something st clear on start and maybe let topics who actually talks about stuff that could improve the game ui/system without touching the core game (wich wont happen) get the view they deserved

Nice cherry picking, looks like you did not read all the posts. Sorry, if you’re not going to invest time reading all the post, then I am not going to invest time in arguing with you.

what does “go take a walk” means to you…
indeed you should invest time reading the whole thread and even the survey titles instead of using it for you own version of it even if it contradict what they ask for / say xD

anyway i tried , but no one would agree to any kind of increased drop rate for a specific loot system , if that’s your purpose , let it be said.

    • The reason Diablo 2 was popular enough for a remaster was because it didn’t have horribly thought out changes like what you’ve proposed. Messing with success subtracts from it more often than not.
    • What unfair competition? Life is unfair. If you can’t click fast enough / can’t figure out where to MF or how to build characters that can MF successfully solo in full games… that isn’t unfair. That’s you receiving the consequences of your actions / skill sets.

If you want to play with multiple people in the same zone MFing at the same time, form a guild/clan. Make friends. If you just want items, then go MF other zones. The game already has solutions for anything you could possibly want. As it stands, your suggested changes would cheapen the hell out of the experience. It would be akin to hacking in items. Just follow folks around and pick up loot you didn’t earn… or ‘earned’ by doing 1% of the monster’s HP… etc. Absurd.

Whatever the dev think is best is what I will support. There are some great suggestions here in this community. Some I don’t agree with some I am willing to compromise for. As long as we don’t get this current iteration I will be happy.

Diablo 2 was far successful than d3 with the “super auction house” fully of bots.

the best successor to D2LOD was path of exile

D2>POE>GRIM DAWN> PINBALL wXP>D3

There was nothing better than seeing a HR on the ground and picking it up as quickly as possible. Once in the inventory you were such a happy person.
I personally look forward to these scenarios, they are rare but that’s what gives me the thrill. I’m not the fastest and often the loot was even secondary to me.
In the end, I have anyway only in fixed groups farmed where one has given each other the Loot. I have rarely had so much loot sharing in games as in D2.

so you are a bad player and want to get carried for free loot. now i see the problem.
