If Diablo 2 Remastered happened to have Achievements

Why every game has to revolve around achievements to have a self worth or record of it? True challenges are usually self made by players and most achievements are merely a measure for engagement just to divert players’ short attention span for being a completionist.
You won’t see many challenge inducing achievements in such sub genre of ARPG relying on randomization, just so majority of players can complete a good amount. Diablo 2 existed before achievements or tradeable cards for badges, 20 years ago. While it’s a nice touch, would it really make you wanna play the game for another 20 years?
