Ideas on future sets

Question: What skills should the future sets be built around?

For my part I tend to play wiz, so I’ll go with my idea:

Lupci’s Cold Heart
2p Ray of Frost gets the Cold Blood rune. Chilled and frozen enemies take 50% more damage from all sources.
4p Chilled enemies reduce damage taken by 12% up to 60%. Elites, Bosses and frozen enemies give max value.
6p Cold skills deal an addicional 10000% damage.

Set pieces: [made to avoid mixing with Tal Rasha]
Head, Torso, Waist, Legs, Hands, Amulet

-Lupci

PS: If Diablo 4 takes 6 years to release, I might be able to afford it.

or u can play some other good games(dark souls, bloodborne, god of war etc etc), and not stuck playing some 7 years old beta of a failed game. lel

Since not a single person says what skill they want to use, I’ll provide my second and last set idea.

Master Huntsdemon
2p Spike Trap radius is increased by 5 yards. Killing an enemy with Spike Trap increases your speed by 30% for 2 seconds.
4p When you damage an enemy, and for the next 5 seconds, you take 60% less damage.
6p Spike Trap deals an addicional 20000% damage to enemies Marked for Death.

Notes:

  • Radius increased to be closer to Bane of the Trapped.
  • Calamity hand crossbow applies Marked for Death when you damage an enemy.

-Lupci

PS: If blizzard uses my ideas, please send me something to put in my curriculum vitae, thank you.

PS2: Lupci’s Cold Heart
2p Ray of Frost gets the Cold Blood rune. Chilled and frozen enemies take 15% more damage from all sources.

It makes more sense to have the 2pc have the Sleet Storm rune, so you’re not just running around with cold laser beams, and have to line everything up. That way, you can focus your cold beams on elites, while still killing (and slowing) trash around you.

The set was actually designed to allow cold builds like Frozen Orb, Blizzard or Ray of Frost (channeling).
The Cold Blood skill rune is just to make a persistent damage increase for groups. The rune allows to cast the skill virtually forever.

I think we can try to get a build out for Wizards that doesn’t want Deathwish. As much as I like Deathwish and Etched Sigil’s cool mechanic, some fresh air’s what we really need.

Frozen Orb does not require Deathwish, I think.

And Blizzard, I do not recall any build that uses this skill, so it could be anything.

Not on its own, but that set seems to lend itself to cold blooded channeling with either the icy comet or frozen orb. Probably the comet, in retrospect.
