I donāt see why things done on the PTR would carry through to someoneās actual account. Itās an entirely different client.
Maybe you donāt understand what the PTR is. Itās supposed to act just like live, but with the new code. Currently, in live, there are two events active. Thereās no reasonable expectation that those two events wouldnāt also be active in PTR.
Honestly, a bizarre thing to complain about. Especially since you didnāt also complain about the darkening of tristram event and its associated rewards and achievements.

Ideally one keeps the test environment as close to live as possible, save for the new features to be tested.
In some cases, like this one, there is additional stuff to speed up things, which interacts with otger components as little as possible.
Hence the presence of gifts.
Their purpose is, besides the wings, to provide mats and missing pets. In my opinion a very nice addition to the game.
Having gifts on ptr, does not impact anything, really. Guess they want tested they stop dropping feb 4. So they may have a purpose on ptr after all.
Having said that, no one is impacted in any way with gifts present. Neither can picking them up be consired cheating. No one gains any unfair progress or anything. It is not cheating nor an exploit.
The risk of playing ptr is one that may obtain something one would like to have on liveā¦
To risk that, is a choice.

If you are peeing your pants over getting the wings or whatever cosmetic you are missing, then donāt do the PTR and play the actual game to get the actual cosmetic. I seriously doubt their PTR testing will be ruined if you do not participate.

they just expanded on the existing build. Since we get stuff from the vendor they are usless. If you donāt want to get stuff and get salty afterwards dont open them.

i donāt mind that they drop as i donāt open them, but what is anoying is the drop rate appears to be higher on ptr on the live server.
It was helpful when I got a bunch of gifts off goblins in my first rift run.
Donāt give them ideas.
Why yes, drop rates for everything is higher on the PTR to speed the process along faster. I guess that would affect those as well. lol
Seems someoneās upset they got the Cosmic Wings from the gifts in the PTR and thinks it ruins their RNG for getting them on Live.
Thatās my guess anyway.

The mats from the gifts are useful. Idk why youāre complaining about free mats.

in the PTR you are given everything to build whatever character you want, you gain nothing from picking up and salvaging . they literally give you tons of everything.

Iām confused - does the OP think that getting them in the PTR means he canāt also get them in the game once the season goes live? If not, I really have absolutely no idea what he is ranting about. Seems to me some people just have to find something, anything, to bytch and moan about no matter how irrelevant, trivial or inconsequential it is.
