Highest elemental damage (Innas Tempest rush build)

Does anyone know when you have a +20 fire damage roll on bracers (none on amulet) and +20 lightning roll on won khim lau, which one counts as the highest damage?

The element your abilities cause is based entirely on the rune applied to your abilities. For example, your seasonal Monk is using Mystic Ally / Water Ally, which causes Cold damage. If you changed the rune to be Fire Ally it would cause Fire damage. This is regardless of which element is on your weapon. So, the elemental bonus on your bracers (and amulet if applicable) should match the element of the rune your highest damaging ability uses. The weapon’s element is irrelevant.

I’m not talking about the weapon damage roll, but the +elemental damage bonus that won khim lau has. At least with Vyr chantodo if one roll was higher than the other it would override the rune and the damage would change, but maybe it doesn’t apply with regards to Innas? Because the problem is that if it is overwritten to lightning, maybe it doesn’t count as fire allies anymore and lose the substantial bonus from bindings of the lesser gods.

All that matters is the element on your Mystic Allies skill.

Hopefully, thanks guys!

That doesn’t apply here, the element with Inna’s is determined by the rune, as others have pointed out.

But if you want a bit more of an explanation, Inna’s 6p doesn’t confer all runes. Instead, Inna’s 6p confers the base abilities of all runes of Mystic Ally, but their form and activated damage is still determined by the rune on your bar. It’s a subtle distinction, but when you consider that, it makes sense that it works differently than Chantodo’s.

So it doesn’t matter here. But for reference, in situations where the elemental type on your gear determines the damage type (e.g. with Chantodo’s and I think a couple barb builds, but not much else), ties are resolved in based on priority, and this priority is in the same order as the elements on CoE (minus the elements not available to that class). So for example on wizards, ties are resolved as arcane > cold > fire > lighting.
