What do you guys recommend as a very easy build to play, for leveling and normal and possibly beyond? The fewer the buttons to mash, the better. I have a long-standing hand injury, and it’s affecting my gaming.

Barbarian Rend/Whirlwind. Basically it is whirlwind all the time with a sometimes Wrenching Smash and manual Rend apply at higher GRs.

There are lazy Crusader and lazy Necromancer builds, but they won’t be able to push high in Greater Rifts as a result. I think every class has a lazy variant at this moment, just take a web search.

If the injury is only to KB hand, you can reassign skills to the mouse, especially if it has multiple buttons.
I use scroll up/down/push + 2 side buttons.
It works for most builds.
edit: My left hand is ok. I just don’t like using the KB.

After like 7 years of asking for PC controller support, and consoles already having it. The platform that the game was developed for never got controller support. I don’t get it. Some excuse about the game changing a lot when a game controller is used. Like it would be hard to sync the settings from console play or something. Strange and lazy if you ask me. Good luck having any type of request listened to unless you are paid to stream the game and even they get ignored usually. It’s all about the $$$$$$$$$$$
I can see this game causing long term players arthritis that’s for sure.
It’s a company, of course it is. No company willfully spend resources if they don’t think they will see a return on it.

God DH can be pretty lazy. I have a S24 GR130 build that requires perma-right-click for Strafe and occasional click for Hungering Arrow. Though you need to use the numlock trick to have vengeance/fan of knives/companion “autocast”.

Are there builds you can play one handed?
Yes. See my previous post about keybinding skills to the mouse.
I only use the keyboard to chat or to press ‘M’ to bring up the map.

I asked for PC controller support and I’m guessing D4 will have a special limited edition steering wheel specially made for one shotting all the mobs as the top ladder player.
PC controller support is not relevant because it is not currently available.
No need to derail this thread with your agenda.
I’ve not tried it but there are supposedly some Xbox and/or PS4 emulators for PC. Whether these can run Diablo 3, or if its legal to do so, is something else… but, if one is desperate enough, it is maybe possible to try.
OP wants to know what can be done NOW.

They couldn’t add controller support now? Why not? They could have added it for the past 9 years however old this title is now.
Probably because the devs are dropping like flies from abuse and hate. Good luck with all that
