Thx Chris. Well that certainly explains why I’ve been struggling so much jumping from GR128 to 130… 34% is a lot of DPS to make up! Other than rolling a quadfecta FOT (i’m missing out on a whopping 100% CD), there’s no way I can possibly even come close to making up on that deficit with just gear alone at P1800…
Does the 17% per level also apply to incoming damage from mobs or just their hp?
Enemy damage goes up by only 2.3% per level.

Yes, agreed. I think it’s very clear that WW is just hands down better at speeds, the question is really “by how much?”
In the near future I’ll try to run 10 each of 115s, 111s, 106s, and 103s, and get average times for each. I’ve been running 115s already, and the 111s, 106s, and 103s should correspond to your 115s, 110s, and 107s, respectively.
yah I wasn’t sure on the damage scaling as it is a much smaller number.
@Blayze The scaling is multiplied from the previous levels so a two level gain is like 37% not 34%. Health pools are really the only hold back for barbs. We have plenty of defensive tools to manage that side of it. Just focus on paragon farming. Once you have decent gear maxing area damage and paragon are the only ways to see big gains. And perfecting your spearing.

I’ve been blowing my brains out questioning why I hit such a brick wall at 130 but now it all makes sense. I had no idea the mob hp scaling was that large. Now I understand why virtually all the barbs ahead of me on the ladder are P2500-3500.
Rather than wasting more time (and keys) hoping for that 1:1000 double battlefield/festering, grotesque, conduit, Hamelin rift I’ll put my time to better use and build a zbarb to farm more paragon and get my mainstat up to 25,000 before pushing again.
I realized this exact same thing when I was about 2k and really hated playing zbarb. I learned to love it and after years of practice 150s are no different then 120s to me. I got a 3700 WD a 150 clear the other day. Probably my proudest zbarb moment.

Awesome dude!!!. Just set your self up for the end of era push. Our clan has a chance for two page one clears and 4-5 137+ clears. Only down side is most of those players don’t main barbs so we will see.
How are you likely the sage t16 build? Its fun actually needing to try not to get hit. Anything that hits me really hurts.
Well-put. This is 100% correct.
I would add that after what Chris mentioned, fishing for GG maps and mobs is all that’s left. Getting, say, Festering then Battlefields with excellent mobs on each can easily propel you well ahead of what most players can achieve at a given Paragon. This is where Pylon management and good use of Spear become the fulcrum upon which pushing rests.
I’d like to know what over other regions are running for top clears. Is 147 still the record for barb? I assume that was with crimson. The site I use doesn’t update anymore so I am blind on world clears.

This plus the US should cover all the rankings. The Korean and Taiwan sites seem to show the exact same rankings. Interesting how far ahead the Asian players seem to be… those guys are hardcore!
I read something the other day showing the world rankings and it’s always been Asia far ahead, then Europe with North America lagging far behind. Wonder why that is…

That’s because they’re just different language options for the same regional servers, i.e. Asia.
The Sage T16 build I run is really quick for farming keys and somewhat for bounties. The only problem I encounter is boss fights where gold is not dropped and I can get killed with the sage gear equipped. Normally I port to town and swap over to another armory build before initiating boss fights for bounties.
S20 - GR 118 down last night in about 12:20, with 9/13 lvl 100 augments, about 15K strength I think.
Could probably do faster but my map RNG has been horrible lately.
I have now put 100 augs on my last two ancient pieces, so going to try and push to 120 over the weekend. Just missing ancients in FoT, can hardly get a decent one, let a lone an ancient, and one of my rings, can’t seem to find a decent ancient in those either.
Just work on decent stat for flavor of time. I’m still running a normal peice but with great stats. It isn’t worth the trouble. I spent around 200 rolls just to get this normal piece and I consider myself lucky.
You got this! 120 is very doable, even without good map/mob RNG.
Don’t sweat the ancient FOT - I gave up on that pipe dream a long time ago after over a thousand failed bounty mats. Don’t waste your time. The rings are more doable… I gambled a bunch of rings and got a primal Focus. I know everyone says gambling rings is inefficient, but once you have ancients in every other slot, then I don’t mind blowing it on rings - lots of good potential rings out there (CoE, BoM) besides FnR and they could all be useful after the season is over.
Yep, I am just wearing the best one I have seen. Not wasting mats on it, just hope a better one drops.
120 was the highest I had been last season with the crazy season bonus, but to get there this season without such a bonus will be quite an achievement for me.

Yeah I am spending most of my shards on rings at the moment, I have managed a primal CoE and Zoadiac ring so far lol
