Yes, 142 is definitely 100% doable, at very high paragon. 143 also likely, if we’re talking about 10k+.
By the time my paragon reaches 10000, Diablo 3 will already be out of service. Hahahaha
Hi Rage, thanks for the long and detailed guide.
But what about the season 22 specific variant which uses the RoRG for the 4th cube slot and 2 pieces of Aughdir set, what do you think about it? Is it stronger than the base Fire EQ + CoE?

See posts 215-221 of this thread for a discussion of this issue.
Tldr: stick with CoE in season 22.
Got my first chance to play the new patch a little tonight. Did 129 and 130 without too much trouble- maybe a total of about 30 keys, most of which were just spent looking for a decent level 1. Also blew through a 120 in about 7’30".
This post of yours has been gnawing at me ever since. So I’ve dropped Dread Iron and am putting everything into EQ. After reading all the lastested post from the community, here the what I’ve favored (I did Zodiac and I was way too squishy):
Leap EQ w/ Wildbeest’s Gizzard
D3planner is under maintenance so I could get a profile. I am using EW in this setup.
i like the activity in usbarb forums, monks are too bad represented. last season i did play my first barb and it was ok. with the mote buff i was thinking about how to play and our eu forum did not give suggestions so i started myself with a fire version. in my setup i used endless walk and coe instead of f&r and flavor, what do you think about that? most other things seem to be pretty inline with your guide
If you want to use Endless Walk, you may want to consider giving LightningQuake a try. With Fire (or Physical) Leapquake, you spend a lot of your time in the air, meaning you mostly get the toughness bonus from EW, and not the damage bonus. That obviously helps your survivability, but hurts your clear potential a lot, since then you have neither the damage buff of EW or of F+R.
Anyway, yeah, I’d say: try LightningQuake. There’s a section on that setup in the OP.
I’m not insinuating anything or going against the guide. I went back and took another look at the footage & noticed that when in combat, I’m fluctuating from 70 - 100% damage with EW, but l’m spending more time at 100% because of the downtown.
Clarify please. When equipping Furnace, cube Tribes, you take BR-rune to make up for the lost healing. Drop WC in order to do this… With Tribes equipped with LPFS, no need for the BR rune to heal and you use both WC and TS?
No worries, man… you do you!
Here’s the simplest way to think about it:
When pushing with Fire or Phys, you always need to have either Parthans in your bracer slot, or BR: StP on the bar. One keeps you alive via mitigation, the other via healing.
LPFS alone is not enough. In big fights with lots of affixes on the ground, you’ll die before you can complete 3 leaps and Slam to heal yourself.
LightningQuake is tankier due to extra mitigation from Crimson, and also utilizes a lot more CDR, as well as the EW defensive bonus while moving around. So in this case Mortick’s are used, and LPFS, combined with all that extra mitigation, will keep you alive very well.
EDIT: Did 131 this afternoon. Only 20-ish keys, I think, though I definitely feel like I’m getting to the point where the BIG fishing starts to be required.
I saw that on the leaderboard. Congrats. I tried your spec and it’s really hard to stay alive, lol.
Whilst farming some gem upgrades, look what dropped this afternoon…

Shiny and red, and therefore obviously with the new legendary power max’d out, but also with two disappointing affixes. Re-rolling the 15% Revenge, I guess, but into what? 10% damage, or 24% AD? The hero it will be going onto is LeapQuake
Tough roll… I’d probably take the 10% since it’s a 2H
You can always try both and see which yields better results
Depends on how much AD/dibs you have elsewhere. If the only dibs you are using is Falter, then 15% EQ on your new blade will actually outperform 10% dmg.
Or, if you have <100% AD, then AD here would be more important than dmg%.
But, dmg% is the safe roll. Though like Blayze says, it’s easy to reroll later.
Oh, also, that’s a good Tribes for LightningQuake, since it’s good to have LPFS with that setup. In this case you’d roll for CDR.
Thanks! I think maybe you saw my 130 setup and not my 131- here I used Esoteric and was tanky as hell.
Ahhh. Yeah, I didn’t see the esoteric gem.
Meteor, that’s still a good roll. It seems the life would help ya? I’ll trade you my non primal for it. lol.
Heck, I’ve only got 94% AD with the old blade that’s got 24% on it so it looks like that’s going to be the thing to go for then.
Well, the sad thing is the hardest content I’ve ever done on her is the MOTE set dungeon, don’t think she’s even been into a GR, as I’m not much of a fan of bouncy Barb. I just realised that her Parthan’s don’t even have 20% elemental on them, that’s how little I played it. I’ll fix both of those, then augment them up, just so she looks good on the armoury.
Maybe you should give it a try… you might enjoy it!
Yep, I concur. Did a few runs at 130, and while I killed trash pretty well, killing elites was like pulling teeth. Maybe on a really good 2-level rift with crazy density, IB would only be a bit worse than Furnace or Tribes.
But: it’s just not that hard to roll up a good Furnace. So why bother with a substandard option?
I’m pretty stuck at 126. I’m getting super bad RNG on maps with the barb. First key with necro, 132, double festering woods. Go figure.
