First I wanted to thank you for patching the PTR. The patch makes your intent much clearer and I believe fairer to the DH. Now for the bug. After finishing a rift while in town, I noticed a yellow, glittery shield around my Demon Hunter (I could not get rid of it). A couple facts: 1) I had a scoundrel follower 2) I had taken fatal damage and triggered the “Vanish” during the rift. Note that while in the rift I did not notice the shield, but I was busy fighting 
Are you using a Fortress Ballista by any chance?
Attacks grant you an absorb shield for 2.0% of your maximum Life. Stacks up to 10 times.
If I recall, the shield from this is golden.
No. It is not the same graphic.
