Gelatinous Sires not dropping loot

Using the Inna’s build with Water Ally causes this to happen.

This has been a known issue for a while (at least two years maybe?), and not sure when it’ll be fixed. Pretty sure it has to do with the Gelatinous Sire’s first spawning in by being CC’d (Crowd Controlled) VIA methods like Freeze upon spawning in, seeing how I’ve only ever experienced this bug on builds that have an innate hard CC baked into their main toolkit, such as Necromancer with Land of the Dead - Frozen Lands, and now with Mystic Ally - Water Ally seeing that it freezes the enemies as well.

Not sure if there is a way for the team to fix this bug? Regardless, it’s annoying that the bug has persisted for so long.

Basic explanation of what happens:

  • Kill the Gelatinous Sire
  • Two adds spawn, immediately frozen
  • Both adds die while frozen
  • Code doesn’t tell the adds to spawn another set of adds?
  • Minus Profit.

Perhaps it has to do with something when the AI is instantiated into the gamespace?

Maybe this is the post that will finally provide them with the kick in the pants that they needed to finally address this bug after so many years.

Having it stickied to the top of the forums was not enough, and people posting about it on a weekly basis was also not enough, but maybe ONE MORE post about it will do the trick. Maybe your post has revealed the secret that has eluded them for so long, that the literally hundreds of posts before yours have never addressed. Or have the same points that you just made already been talked about ad nauseum already?

If a hundred more people per day post here to remind them that the bug has been in the game for years now, and that it is sticked at the top of the forums, will they move it higher on their list of priorities? Or have they just given up on it?

Who knows the answers to these questions?
