Since the most recent Win 10 update I can no longer get D3 to load. I click play, the D3 logo pops up, then the screen goes gray ( I have my Razor Synapse running ) and then poof back to the Blizzard Launcher. Short of reverting back to before the Win update I do not know what to do…Update, I just got an error message that said the D3D could not be loaded. What is the D3D???
For the gray screen, the usual cause is Razer. If it still bothering you, try the workaround (edit a line in pref file) in Known Technical Support Issues - [Updated June 21, 2020!]
D3D is Direct3D, the gaming API of Windows. The usual cause of init failure is outdated drivers. Try the steps in troubleshooting article
