Frozen Strike or Ice Blast or

Nothing. Using Vyrs and in Archon form, I’ve been using frozen strike instead of ice blast because it’s assigned to the left mouse key. Is ice blast any better ? Does it make any difference in that wave of force does the damage ?
Is it better to tp along and let wave of force do the damage ? If so should we add wof % to gear ?

Edit: Typos.

From the Vyr’s 6-piece bonus, you get stacks each time you hit with an Archon attack. More stacks = more damage. And more stacks = more attack speed = even more stacks, since you gain them faster with more attack speed.

The Strike gains you stacks proportional to your attack speed. So does the beam (roughly). You want to be constantly using one of those attacks.

The Blast has a cooldown. It doesn’t scale with attack speed. However, it doesn’t take an attack turn so you can use it while you are using the Strike/Beam and gain even more stacks.

So for maximum stacks you should be constantly using one of the strike/beam while also hitting the blast every time it’s off cooldown.

The Chantodo’s wave does literally all your damage (like 98% of it). The reason you attack with the Archon abilities is not to do damage, but to gain stacks from the Vyr’s 6-piece in order to make the Chantodo’s wave do more damage.

For really low level rifts you can just walk through and let the wave kill stuff, but for medium and higher level rifts you need the additional stacks from attacking with the Archon abilities.

Wave of Force % does not affect the Chantodo’s Wave. Chantodo’s Wave of Destruction =/= Wave of Force. Wave of Force % only buffs the specific wizard skill Wave of Force. Chantodo’s Wave is different.
