so I’m not entirely sure if these two should even interact in the first place as there’s no reliable info on the internet apart from vague build claims that it does.
I’ve tested this thoroughly and it appears to not work at all – more shield potency or not, result damage taken is the same – tested with a mob that does a bit more damage to go through 35%, and when adding the bracers, the damage still goes through the 35% mark the same amount.

Unreliable. Only the devs themselves and the lead designer should know such things for certain.
force armor doesn’t give a shield effect though, it just reduces damage above 35% of your max HP to 35% of your max hp.
Well, the naming and wording of those abilities make it way too easy to assume it’s a shield.
Pretty much swapping ‘absorbed’ to ‘reduced’ would get rid of all the confusion if it’s indeed not a shield.
