Yupp it’s a bug in live. It says 2000% but it’s actually 1500%.
Two things i found out testing this set.
-Some people are saying Phalanx isn’t consider a pet, I tested taster and theo, they 100% benefit from the buff. So just clearing that up.
-Phalanx damage do seem to increase condemn damage. I tested with and without Lord Commander/Unrelenting Phalanx respectively. The damage increase is about 50% outside of CoE cycle. I’m not sure if this is an app analysis but phalanx seems to be “casting” condemn by themselves. Similar to the new WD garg.
-Perhaps pets buffing items will increase this damage output? Toughness is another issue entirely ![]()
My English isn’t very good.
The first thing I tested was casted Condemn damage compared to LIVE. No Phalanx, no optimization (on LIVE or PTR). My PTR Condemns appeared to be doing roughly 75% of their LIVE damage.
So I don’t think it’s just a display bug.
It seems to be an unannounced or an unintended change (nerf).
Thx for your test.I am very curious how Akkhan will be changed in PTR phase 2.
It’s not considered a pet SET. Since no supporting items nor the set gives significant dmg multipliers to Phalanx, so the dmg is not comeing directly from them, they just proc Condemn, which doesn’t seem to be buffed by it’s supporting items.
BOOM
It is not competitive in its current state either.
Add to this the basic removal of the Stampede rune as becoming useless the way the set is structured and the overall lack of damage that it should have, it’s disappointing.
I guess we see what they do to the Phalanx themselves in damage on the items, or if they also add a “Takes on all runes” of the phalanx which would be interesting.
This set would possibly not be viable in multiplayer as it could cause lag.
I just did some further testing. I try to remove as many variables as I can. No 6 piece Akkahn, no 3 pieces Captain Crimson, no enforcer, no Warhelm of Kassar and no Coe. I can 100% confirm phalanx damage does increase condemn damage for bowman and bodyguard. Any other runes that doesn’t summon phalanx avatars does not benefit from pet damage or phalanx damage and thus lowered condemn damage. Which then suggests that bowman and bodyguards are considered pets. I don’t know what this interaction implies but that’s what I have found.
And the damage from these interactions, when taken apart and analyze piece by piece is very noticeable.
Sorry again for my english.
Yes they are considered pets, that was no question.
Shoot.
Looks like we have to wait until next week for an update.
Was really hoping for a PTR patch Tuesday or today.
