Flyball - Disconnections

I am also getting constantly disconnected tonight. Had no problems this afternoon. severe lag and disconnection began around 6pm PST

Go ahead for a WinMTR report as said in the blue post above. It will help troubleshooting the problem.

how do I get to this instructions page. I cannot seem to find in the readme to get the game IP

There is a popup menu “Select your game” on the support webpage.
Select “Diable III”, then use the IP listed in the table.
Note that Americas region has 3 locations: North America, Brazil, and Australia.

Wiel I can’t post links and copying as plain text does not remove the links…even using pastebin…

Paste the report (text) between two “~~~” lines, like this:

severe lag but no crash today…with this much lag I refuse to play my HC chars

Look at column %, all 1-2% data packet loss from top to bottom.
The worst ping column has >2800. It also made the average column went up.

This indicates the problem lies between computer and router (hop 1).

Try power cycling your router and modem first. Unplug their power for 10 minutes, then retest.

Check any loosen connection, replug the network cables at computer, router and modem. Make sure they are all securely plugged.

Try bypassing the router, plug the computer to modem directly.

If you are using WIFI, try testing with wired connection. If you can’t do so, try changing the channel settings. Remove obstacles between computer and router to ensure the signal won’t be degraded.

If the problem is at computer, try the steps (including Advanced Troubleshooting section) in this support article: Blizzard Support - Diablo III Latency Problems
Skip those steps you have already tried. Click the blue text for detailed procedures.

Interestingly it’s only when playing D3 that I experience any lag whatsoever. No other program or process is causing this amount of lag. I do a lot of streaming for classes, with Zoom and other video chat and video streaming. Other games do not have this lag. Its only when I do D3 and only recently (past 2 days) prior to that there was very little lag.

Streaming usually have large video buffer and more fault tolerate.
I don’t know other games but D3 is an old game and it is quite sensitive to latency.

Your log clearly indicates a problem at client end, either at computer or at router.

If you are using wired and have tried bypassing the router, then the problem is likely at computer.

If you are using WIFI, then it is very likely at the wireless connection. Have you tried wired connection?

You may try reaching support by inputing a ticket. Tell them what you have already tried. Hope they can help you out.

With no changes on my end the lag has suddenly disappeared
