Fallen Star Shard - a choice to get more mats

So I was thinking of a way to get reusable part mats and arcane dust because it sucks to farm them.

We have bounties for bounty mats, T16 for DBs, and Grs for blood shards.

I’m thinking of a way to get mass mats as a reward.

So every level 1 character starts with a Fallen Star Shard legendary gem. It’s in a lvl 1 white ring and you wear it instantly like the white weapons.
The legendary affix is as follows:

Increases legendary drop rate by 200% per act number. At lvl 70 the shard will explode into 20,000 vile crystals, 20,000 arcane dust, and 20,000 reusable parts. The shard will be destroyed if a cache is opened or if it enters adventure mode. XP is reduced by 80%.

(Numbers can be changed to get the rewards being worth it)

So campaign act 5, T6 drop rate will be like T18-T20 (say 1000% increase drop rate, not sure of the actual amount needed) , and T6 will be viable most of the time. The extra XP from T6 will make up for the decreased XP from the shard. It should take longer than Adventure mode 1-70 and in total, less time than it would take to 1-70 and to farm the cube items and the mats (due to not getting paragon). So that it’s more of a personal choice, than it being OP to the point where it makes adventure 1-70 obsolete. Get the mats and cube items first or the paragon first? A meaningful choice.

Also, later, one may want a heap of mats and can just roll a new toon and get the mat boom at 70.

Obviously balancing would be needed to get the time cost being worth the reward if people choose that reward. Most will tend to go for the standard adventure 1-70 XP advantage since it will be slightly more efficient but others who aren’t racing will enjoy the variety rather than the XP grind.

Could be cool and like a Darkening of Tristram event.

4 players all have level 70 heroes and they each make a new level 1 hero. One of the level 70s makes a T6 Act V Campaign Mode game, and invites the other three level 1 heroes to that game. He then power-levels them to 70 where each of the three boosted heroes gets 20K of whites / blues / yellows.

They do this 4 times, rotating which of them is the 70 each time, so that after the 4th time each of them has had this loot-explosion thing three times, and has gained 60K white / blue / yellow materials.

Sounds like an ideal way for 4 bots to earn hundreds of thousands of materials per night.
