Dungeons are unique, what makes them different then rifts?

You are under an NDA.

I dont recall them every saying dungeons are randomized. But I am very happy if they are.

And it’s public information. That’s like saying me sharing anything they’ve already revealed is breaking NDA. Which is kind of ridiculous.

" Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that there will be more than 150 “handcrafted and yet procedurally generated” [Diablo 4](http s://www. pcgamesn. com/diablo-4) dungeons to explore when the action-RPG releases."

Just google d4 dungeons. I’m sure i’d breaking nda if it wasn’t public, and if it wasn’t i wouldn’t have said anything.

He’s right though. It’s not so much of you stating the dungeons will be randomized that goes against the nda since it’s public knowledge, but saying that it was based on your experience with the beta since you’re not supposed to speak about your experiences with the beta, which I imagine include things that are either obvious and/or already confirmed. It’s mostly a word of caution.

This Closed Beta will be confidential, meaning players invited will be unable to publicly talk about or share their gameplay experience.

Now if it was something that had already publicly confirmed, then merely cite when they confirmed it, for example:

Dungeons of Sanctuary

Brian Fletcher: Dungeons are still that randomized content that you know and love from previous Diablo titles. However, we added new and exciting features that allow us to make even more dungeons across the world of Sanctuary than ever before. In order to support over 150+ dungeons, we’ve had to shift the way we make environment art so that it’s flexible enough to be used in multiple locations and not just in a single dungeon.

Then there’s also.

Delving Dank Dungeons

Dungeons will be separate, instanced experiences. While you won’t see wandering adventurers alongside you as you delve an abandoned ruin, you can opt to bring up to a party of four players in to tackle tougher challenges for greater rewards.

As has become hallmark to Diablo, Dungeons are randomized experiences, including both their layouts and the events that might occur within them. They can be interior or exterior landscapes, may mix and match between different tilesets, and offer totally seamless exploration; moving from one level or scene to another is now a natural, loading screen-free process.

That said, there’s also some conflicting info such as:

Keyed Dungeons

A big question that’s come up is exactly how Keyed Dungeons are different from Rifts. Keyed Dungeons introduce greater challenges as their tiers increase through Dungeon Affixes. The majority of dungeons are real places in the world, and players will know some information about them including what types of monsters, events, and layouts to expect. With this information, as well as the specific Dungeon Affixes being displayed on the key, players will be able to strategize their approach before going into the dungeon. We believe this is the biggest change from Diablo III Rifts: the added planning and strategizing that takes place before you decide to run a Keyed Dungeon.

Ofc some of this info could be considered outdated. However, I imagine only Blizzard and those who are testing the beta (and those who search for leaks) would truly know.

Fishing may not be as important with a finite Paragon system and nightmare dungeons don’t have the same leveling aspect.

Yes, I don’t see Fishing as a major issue. Eeven in D3, its only issues for leaderboard pushers.
