Discussion for suggestions to improve existing Instant salvage legendries

Let me start with some change to these instant salvage legs:

[Pauldrons of the Skeleton King]
When receiving fatal damage, there is a chance that you are instead restored to 25% of maximum Life and cause nearby enemies to flee in fear.
Your (cheat death name) cooldown is reduced by 20 sec (from 60 to 40sec)

[Death Watch Mantle]
30% chance to explode in a fan of knives for 750-950% weapon damage when hit. [25 - 35]%
Enemies hit by fan of knives do 25% reduce damage.

[Tyreal Might]
sec stats: Elite takes 10-20% more damage (replace [10 - 20]% Damage to Demons)
Leg power
Cannot be frozen. You gain 25% extra armor for 5 sec when hit by a CC attack.

[New (purals)]
XXXcoat
Primary
*XXX skills deal [15 - 20]% more damage.
Secondary
Reduces the resource cost of XXX skills by 27%. [23 - 30]%
*XXX is one of core elemental skill etc arcane, physical.

Maybe add some powers to all the useless legendarys that don’t have one as well.

Yes, if we can brainstorm good leg power so maybe the dev can see & maybe add them in some capacity-

keep in mind said items do not have to be BIS items but they should be useful…

-they could play around with weak affixes and add something similiar like captn crimson or UE with disc etc…

would be nice but tbh that will probabably never happen and if they slap something on everything we just get more useless powers… i think it is better to focus on a few each patch and get them right…

Okay, some ideas to add then:

Jeweler’s Bequest legendary gem

“Gain basic sockets on any equipped gloves, boots, and shoulders worth 50% (+1% per level) of the socketed gem’s stats.” (reduced to 0% when this gem is not equipped)

Rank 25 bonus – all standard gems also give 50% of the effect of all other gems of the same quality.

Horadric Cube recipes:
Impure Angelic [gem] (basic gem)
3 ancient jewelry, 10 flawless Royal gems, 100 forgotten souls, 250 death’s breaths.
Weapon/Helm gem effects 25% stronger than flawless royal, armor gem effects 250% stronger than flawless royal.

Purified Angelic [gem] (basic gem)
3 primal ancient jewelry, 5 impure angelic gems, 250 forgotten souls, 1000 death’s breaths.
Weapon/Helm gem effects 50% stronger than flawless royal, armor gem effects 1000% stronger than flawless royal.

Golden Scourge 1-hand flail, crafted
Smite jumps to 3 additional targets for [100-200]% additional damage, and can strike the same target more than once.

Armor of the Kind Regent chest armor
Smite will now also be cast at a second nearby enemy, and Divine Well will be cast at the primary target of each Smite chain.

Sin Seekers quiver
Rapid Fire initial cost and channel cost reduced by 90%, deals [250-300]% additional damage, and pierces infinitely.

Wojahnni Assaulter crossbow
Rapid Fire reduces all damage taken by 35% while channeled and for 3 seconds after. All damage dealt while channeling Rapid Fire is increased by 95% per second, stacking up to 30 times.

Eternal Union ring, crusader only
Gain 25% damage reduction and increased damage dealt, increased by [35-40]% of your block chance.

Danetta’s Revenge/Spite – hand crossbows, set
Set (2): Vault costs 8 Hatred instead of Discipline
Set (2): Casting Vault increases your damage dealt by 250% for 6 seconds.

Danetta’s Hatred amulet, set
Set (3): Vault fires your last used primary or non-channeled spender at 3 nearby enemies.

Akkhan’s Addendum 2-hand flail
Akarat’s Champion gains the effects of the Prophet and Embodiment of Power runes and increases all damage dealt by [150-250]%.

Eternal Union ring
Phalanx gains the effect of the Bowmen and Bodyguard runes and they last forever. Bowmen and Bodyguard grant you [4.0-5.0]% damage reduction each.

Warhelm of Kassar helm
Reduces the cooldown and wrath cost of Phalanx by [50-75]% and increases Phalanx damage by [400-500]%.

[Element] Necklace amulet
Prevent all [element] damage taken and heal yourself for 15% of the amount prevented. Taking [element] damage increases the damage you deal by [50-75]% for 15 seconds.

Vo’Toyias Spiker shield
Provoke cooldown and wrath generation reduced by 100%. Enemies affected by Provoke take double damage from Thorns.

Hack 1-hand axe
Dealing damage with a generator or spender triggers thorns damage multiplied by [50-100]% of primary resource generated or consumed, up to 5000%.

Fulminator 1-hand sword
Lightning damage has a chance to turn enemies into lightning rods, causing them to pulse [400-500]% of the damaging attack as Lightning every second to nearby enemies for 6 seconds.

Shard of Hate 1-hand sword
Elemental skills have a chance to trigger a powerful attack that deals [200-250]% of the skill’s damage:
Cold skills trigger Freezing Skull
Poison skills trigger Poison Nova
Lightning skills trigger Charged Bolt

Akanesh, Herald of Righteousness spear
Holy Skills deal [150-250]% additional damage, cost 50% less primary resource or generate twice as much.

Mad Monarch’s Scepter 1-hand mace
After killing 10 enemies, you release a Poison Nova that deals [1000 - 1400]% of your last used spender as Poison to enemies within 30 yards.

Solanium 1-hand mace
Critical hits deal [250-400]% additional damage and have a chance to spawn a health globe.

Nailbiter 1-hand mace
Gain pimary stat equal to [10-15]% of your thorns. (Thanks for the heads-up, Meteroblade)

My Invoker Crusader has around 330,000 Thorns.
So, she’d gain 330,000 to 495,000 Strength?

I mean, it’s a weapon, which is easily one of the most powerful legendary effects a character equips (directly or indirectly) so it needs to be worth it compared to other items, but I’m certainly not suggesting a 30x increase in damage. 1/10th of that. It’s been many seasons since the last time I played thorns (hate bomber builds), so I’d forgotten just how high thorns can get.

We can always tune the value with test & PTR. The idea is the thing that is important.

would enjoy more items like…

-movementspeed increased by x% for x seconds after casting skill x
-dmg reduction increased by x% for x seconds after casting skill x
-increase the value of skill/passive x by x% (like savage 2pc)

dark mage’s shade:

diamond skin gains all runes and reduces all incoming dmg by x% for x seconds

hwoj wrap:

horrify gains the stalker + frightening aspect rune and their effects are doubled

tiklandian visage:

horrify increases all your dmg by x% for x seconds

I love threads like these. While we likely won’t see new classes or anything for Diablo 3, it is very reasonable to think we might get updated items or even new items.

I feel like this is not wasted discussion time.

That’s exactly what the wizards hope for. Maybe you should rummage through the wizard section… Unless of course you are being sarcastic :relieved:

No, I am not trying to be sarcastic. I realize that there are changes certain class players really want and that they don’t always happen fast enough. Or maybe even don’t happen at all.

I just think it is more realistic to hope for, and discuss, item changes vs discussing new classes or an expansion to Diablo 3. One is reasonable, the other is not.

Ground Stomp gains the Trembling Stomp rune and has its damage and radius increased by 200%. The nearest [2-3] enemies damaged by Ground Stomp are hit by an Avalanche.

Girdle of Giants mighty belt
Seismic Slam increases Earthquake damage by [200-250]% for 3 seconds and triggers an Earthquake at the first target struck.

Sacred Harness belt
Judgment gains the effect of the Debilitate rune and is cast at your landing location when casting Falling Sword. Damaging enemies with Blessed Hammer refreshes Judgment’s duration and spreads it to other nearby enemies.

Cam’s Rebuttal 2-hand sword
Falling Sword cooldown and wrath cost reduced by 80% and can be cast again within 4 seconds of being used. Falling Sword damage increased by [1200-1500]% for per enemy damaged. This effect stacks up to 10 times and lasts 15 seconds.

Pride’s Fall helm
Your resource costs are reduced by [75-90]% after not taking damage for 5 seconds.

The Helm of Rule helm, crafted
Blocking an attack retaliates with your last used primary and spender. These attacks deal [150-200]% increased damage.

Gyana Na Kashu spirit stone
Lashing Tail Kick releases a piercing fireball that deals [100-150]% of Lashing Tail Kick’s damage as Fire to enemies within 10 yards on impact.

The Mind’s Eye spirit stone
Inner Sanctuary increases Spirit Regeneration per second by 15 and grants you and all your allies [25-30]% resource cost reduction.

Heart of Iron chest armor
Enemies damaged by your thorns take [100-150]% increased damage from thorns and deal 15% reduced damage for 10 seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 times.

Chaingmail chest armor
Gain damage reduction equal to the percentage of health you’re missing, up to [70-90]%, and after earning a survival bonus, quickly heal to full Life.

Cindercoat chest armor
Fire skills have their resource cost reduced by 30% and deal [50-75]% additional damage.

Tyrael’s Might chest armor
Gain [50-75]% increased damage for 30 seconds after killing demons. This effect stacks up to 5 times.

Archer’s Ward amulet
Enemy projectiles have a [35-50]% chance to shatter on impact, dealing 500% of their damage to all enemies within 15 yards of you. Reflected projectiles have a 100% chance to shatter.

Moonlight Ward amulet, Wizard only
Hitting an enemy within 15 yards wards you with shards of Arcane energy that explode when enemies get close, dealing 320% of your Arcane Orb’s damage to enemies within 15 yards.

Hellfire Ring ring
Damaging an enemy engulfs the ground in lava, dealing [150-200]% of the attack’s damage per second for 6 seconds.

Leoric’s Signet ring
Killing an enemy raises a skeleton for 60 seconds. Up to 10 skeletons may be raised at a time. For each Skeleton following you, you gain 2% increased damage and take 4% less damage.

Band of Rue Chambers ring
Your Spirit Generators generate [350-500]% additional Spirit and deal 100% additional damage.

Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac ring
Reduce the remaining cooldown of one of your skills by 1 second when you hit with a resource-spending attack. This effect has a [35-50]% chance to trigger when you hit with a resource-generating attack.

Band of Hollow Whispers ring
This ring occasionally haunts nearby enemies, and enemies you damage have a [25-30]% chance to be haunted.

Halo or Arlyse ring
Your Ice Armor reduces all damage taken and increases all Cold damage dealt by [50-60]% and automatically casts Frost Nova whenever you take 10% of your Life in damage.

Halo of Karini ring
Storm Armor gains the effect of every rune, and you take [60-75]% less damage for 5 seconds after your Storm Armor electrocutes an enemy more than 15 yards away.

Boots of Disregard boots
Gain 10,000 life per second and 15% damage reduction for every second you stand still. This effect stacks up to 4 times.

Boj Anglers boots
Your primary and secondary skills deal increased damage based on your movement speed.

Fire Walkers boots
Burn the ground you walk on, dealing damage equal to [75-100]% of your last used spender every second.

Ice Climbers boots
Gain immunity to Freeze and Immobilize effects. While not moving, you are surrounded by a Frozen Mist.

Death’s Bargain pants
Life per Second increased by 300% of your Vitality. Gain an aura of death that deals [750-1000]% of your Life per Second as Physical damage to enemies within 16 yards. You no longer regenerate life.

Skelon’s Deceit pants, crafted
Your primary skills have a [20-25]% chance on hit to cast one of your secondary skills as well.

Gloves of Worship gloves
Shrines now last indefinitely and give the effect of all shrines.

Mage Fist gloves
Fire Skills deal [15-20]% increased damage and trigger Apocalypse when they damage an enemy, up to once every 2 seconds.

Tasker and Theo gloves
Pets, summons, and followers attack [50-75]% faster and cannot die.

Spaulders of Zakara shoulders
Your items become indestructible. Gain additional weapon damage based on the level and total durability of all your items.

And for the coup de grace!
Blackthorne’s Surcoat chest armor, set
Gain +250 vitality for every gem you have socketed into your gear.

Blackthorne’s Spurs boots, set
Vitality increased by [100-150]% of your movement speed.

Blackthorne’s Notched Belt belt, set
While your primary resource is full, secondary skills deal 100% additional damage. After spending your primary resource, your primary skills deal 200% additional damage for 6 seconds.

Blackthorne’s Jousting Mail pants, set
Damage increased by [20-30]% of the total Gold Find on your equipped items.

Blackthorne’s Duncraig Cross amulet, set
The effects of your Paragon bonuses are increased by 50%.

Blackthorne’s Battlegear set

  • Increases damage against and reduces damage taken from elites by 25%.
  • Gain Armor and Life Per Second equal to 750% of your vitality.

[3p]

  • +1500% extra gold from monsters.
  • +30% movement speed.

[4p]

  • Elite enemy spawned effects are now your attacks and affect your enemies instead.
  • Damage increased by [10-15]% of your vitality.

maybee we should pick like 1-2 items for each class that are needed the most as support… that our devs focus on these items first next time they update some items…
