I doubt that is true. Lots of people appear to enjoy time challenges / speed runs. There are even “world records” and everything. Though, maybe they are “cheaters” because they use bugs and exploits.

there was one person playing smb, but it was the randomizer, which doubles down on the fact that i’m right and random maps keep the game replayable and interesting.
