Teruke, the mounts were added for those folks who want to get through the campaign as quickly as they possibly can. The arcade runners don’t care about the story or the campaign, they just want to get to the end.
I am walking everywhere, and I will be exploring every nook and cranny - just like I am with D:I. I don’t care about leaderboards, nor do I care about PvP.

There’s a difference between what I can make my own character look like and what Blizzard chooses to make canon. I’m talking about the latter. And it’s more than just visual tropes. It’s dress, mannerisms, behavior, social roles, etc.
You and I are not going to agree on this. If you believe that there is no difference between alpha and beta behavior, or that these don’t exist, we have nothing to discuss - and your personal attacks insinuating that I am in need of being drugged because I have a differing opinion from yours isn’t going to get me to change my views.

Of course we don’t. That sort of thing doesn’t exist in human beings. In fact, it largely doesn’t exist in many animal species to which those behavior patterns are attributed.
Tell you what: Cite your sources. What credible authors and books discuss “alpha” and “beta” as they apply to human beings, and who published them? Better yet, can you find any peer-reviewed literature on the topic that supports your claims?
Quite the opposite, but I don’t think reading is your strongest suit, so I’ll break it down.

That’s a good point. You can earn, in game, a skeleton token for a 10% chance to cast, but purchase an eternal skeleton token for a 50% chance. And they can market it as “just use a token for your skeletons and get a 50% chance to successfully cast!”

From it’s initial annoucement in 2018, Diablo players were asking for D:I($) for PC. Many, many people declared they would install an emulator, so they could play D:I($) on their PC (I was one of them). Blizzard threw us a bone and made a wrapper for the game on PC.
I like D:I($). The game is fun. And I have no intention of spending a penny in D:I($). My goal is to explore Sanctuary, kill monsters and take their wallets. I don’t care about PvP, I have no interest in the “Social” aspects of playing D:I($), and needless to say, I won’t be climbing the leaderboards. That is for people with more money than sense.
This is a bit of a pipe dream if you anticipate getting what is akin to whites and blues all day every day nonstop is somehow fun. But more power to you if that’s what you’re into.
Also, in late hell you are required to be playing with four players if you want to do any loot runs. So enjoy getting kicked out of every group you find because of having a pathetic combat rating.
And know that it is working as intended.
Liked most of what I saw and not sure about other parts. Is it just me or are some clips of this game more dumbed down and D3 looking, while others look sharper, darker, and nicer? Maybe it is the area being shown at times, or maybe it is console vs PC? Probably all in my head!
As for the necro, they look okay. Not in-depth enough to judge, but felt more cheesy and D3 like than the Rogue trailer, which was awesome.
EDIT: Probably came off a bit harsh. Honestly it mostly looks great. It really comes down to them getting the itemization/loot hunt right as well as making sure the sense of progression and customization is there. Do that and don’t ruin it with microtransactions and such and I will be play for years to come.

I could say the same of you, Professor. We have had this discussion in reference to CRT before which I won’t rehash here. As for FauxNews, I don’t watch much of them. They’re a messaging outlet for the leadership of the Republican party no different than how MSNBC is the messaging outlet for the “Progressive” wing of the Democrat party. I don’t like having my views dictated to me by large corporations paid to exclude opposing opinion and get me to take sides in some sort of red-team, blue-team artificial dichotomy when neither political party is doing much for the average Joe citizen.
Again, we don’t have much to discuss. You have yet to deal with the core issue that sparked our interaction. You’ve shown no open mind to have a conversation. You’ve now insulted me in 2 of 2 posts replying to me, this time implying that I’m mentally ill, am in a cult, and must be drugged into compliance. And we’ve talked before in which you’ve shown the same behavior.

My interest is in the story and the campaign. Not the end game. Not the difficulty levels that are gated behind either P2W or forced socialization.
My definition of “winning” isn’t the same as yours.

I just figured everyone was done with the campaign. No one here is talking about the campaign. People are talking about the 99.9% of the game which is the end game. Enjoy the campaign but it has nothing to do with anything we are talking about here. It sounded like you were talking about playing for a while. Unless you’re playing about 5 minutes a day I don’t know why it would take you the time frame you seemed to be implying for just the campaign.
Name a textbook. Provide reputable, credible sources to substantiate your claims.

You’re not entirely wrong here, but neither are you completely correct. In our binary political system, both parties could be doing a lot more for American citizens, but one party is, at least (and take this for what it’s worth) doing something worthwhile. There’s a lot of room to debate what that “something” means, who it impacts, and whether it’s going to have a real impact, and that’s fine. But trying to say that Republicans and Democrats are the same is an oversimplification.

Your belief in alpha and beta males is false. What’s more, the game lets you customize your character, so a very broad range of people may feel represented by their avatar. You are, however, correct when you call me Professor–that’s precisely what I am, a Professor that researches, writes, publishes and teaches on several topics, notably about men, masculinities, and how gender identities are constructed. So, when I say your ideas about alphas and betas is rubbish, I mean that quite literally. If you’d like some reading suggestions–impartial ones to boot–let me know.
