I’m supporting this post, instead of making my own.
I got the same issue. I was going to delete a few characters and clean up a bit in advance of Season 35, but alas, a few to many Dwarfish Stouts, and i deleted everything. I woke up the morning after, releasing what i had done.
Not wanting to disclose anything from tickets, but from all i know and have been told, a rollback SHOULD work, but it doesn’t.
When i tried it on FireFox at first, i got to the point where i could select which savepoint to restore. They all ended with “Something went wrong on our end”. So i googled further, and found maybe i should delete some cookies, but instead i tried another browser (Chrome) and even a private window in Firefox.
After receiving a few more support ticket answers telling me it should work, i even installed Chrome on my living room Debian media center pc, but to no avail.
Now i cannot even get to the savepoint selection, but as soon as i select Request Rollback, then on the next screen where it says “Rollbacks remaining: 3” and press “Continue”, it says “Something went wrong on our end”.

After a lot of back and forth with GM tickets, i was told to go to the D3 forums, and to quote the GM: “If it’s still giving you the same error, the best next step is to report it on the Diablo III forums, where our devs keep a close eye on player reports like this. They’re the ones who can really dig into the gears and cogs behind the scenes.”.
Great respect and kudos to the GM’s replying on tickets, and i would, though it breaks my heart, accept a “No, it can’t be done.”, but i’m repeatedly told it can be done, it just doesn’t work.
I was wondering if this was a problem due to it being 5 days between seasons, but from googling, this problem has existed for a while.
I would love an answer to this. <3
