I think if they can do it they would release on June 29. If they can’t I think Christmas would be the wrong holiday to release. But on or around October 31 would make more sense. If they can’t make the anniversary try too tie it in with Halloween.

D2: R could also release on December 31st, 2021! Reason? 25th anniversary of the release of Diablo 1! From wikipedia: In 2016, David Brevik stated that a dispute existed as to whether Diablo had been released in 1996 or 1997. In 1997 and 2000, Blizzard reported Diablo’s release date as January 1997, and issued a press release on January 3 to announce the game’s availability in stores. At the time, CNET Gamecenter reported that Diablo’s wide release occurred on January 6. Conversely, Brevik argued in 2016 that the game was available in certain western U.S. retailers by December 31, 1996. Blizzard marked Diablo’s 20th anniversary on December 31, 2016.

everybody wants it on their birthday but mine is to close to the end of the year. id be happy with june 29th, july 4th or anything a lot closer.

at the very least maybe public beta on that date, tech alpha sometime in the next month or two… and a fall release of the actual game. either way i can’t wait to play :slight_smile:

I hope for a sooner relase aswell, since its gonna run on the original game, they hopefully did not hat to recreate everything, so there could be faster proceeding and the game could be relased this spring.

Yea, July 4th break would allow a lot of game time as well for people being off of work/school/etc.

yeah the original d1 was shipped out on december 31st. which is why i think they chose to pick this date to shoot for.

umm I want to point out almost all games that have dec 31 of what ever year it is actually have no set date other then the year it is just they have to have a day and month which makes it give them until then to release it and any time before that date to that date is when it will be released it is one of several ways to avoid having a set date another is saying it will be out soon or eventually which does not set a date at all another way is to say a area of the year such as spring or summer or fall or winter these answers are not real answers to when it will come out just ways to avoid being locked down to any date.

also these methods are done by not only game creators they are done by people that make movies and tv shows as well as all software companies and also by people that wright books and also by all places that deliver and all people to avoid setting a time and place to meet. such statements as see you soon or I will get to it or It will get done are used to avoid setting a time or date for anything.

all man kind avoids setting any time or date to anything if possible to avoid getting the you did not get it done when you said you would statement this mind you does not always work.

the shop says December at latest, its rare for blizzard to give us release ETA’s so they are probably hoping for way before

Since internal Alpha is just getting going it’s looking like Q4 if no delays. You know how it goes though. Could end up Q2 2022 aka soon!

Diablo II: Resurrected Release Date(my guess): Tuesday, June 29th, 2021

That would give exactly one month to release after Beta ends! :slight_smile:
