Diablo 3 takes a while to open then crashes

Hello, I start Diablo 3 and then it takes a while for it to open. Once opened it takes a while to load any “new” game assets (for example, when creating a character it freezes for a few seconds when I change the character class or gender until it “loads” that characters graphics then it’s fine)

When actually trying to start the game it takes a LONG time and then when it eventually makes the sounds that the game is finished loading, it closes/crashes without any error message

Before getting too deep into things, please be sure to check out our known issues post about Razer Chroma. This program has caused crashing in the past and there’s an easy way to fix it! Keep in mind this may impact you even if you no longer have the device due to files lingering on the system. Check the post for more info!

If it’s still happening after that lets go ahead and grab a DxDiag so we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the DXDiag. It’ll look like this:
