After the 30th anniversary where D3 was completly ignored by Blizzard D2 cult became even more vocal about their dislike of D3. Not wasting any time to kicking the game down at every opportunity and mocking you for liking it.
Don`t worry, that just shows how great Diablo 3 is. They always have to be bringing it up.

Since it has exploded in the past days, I haven’t read all topics like I used to. But I haven’t seen any d3 bashing in the select few threads I clicked.
Or are you talking about somewhere else?
Btw, there are a few folks around this forum, who play both games. And while I’d rank d2 over d3, I don’t see a reason to kick d3 down.
Different games for different tastes. I utterly disliked PoE while most of my ARPG peers liked it. Tastes differ …

I’ve browsed forums for both games and I don’t see any D3 bashing. I did see someone make one of those memes where the person who was supposed to be D3 was drowning or something.
No reason to knock either game as they’re both good games.

Holy cow.
I always thought that D2, Lod and D2vanilla meshed rather well lore-wise.
RoS didn’t quite fit in so perfectly for my taste, but D2/LoD/D3v flowed rather well from a Prime/Lesser Evil pov.
Only the re-use of d1 stuff in act 1 D3 felt kinda forced / like fan-bait imo.

Plenty in D3 makes sense. It may not make sense to HIM, but he doesn’t speak for everyone.
