I don’t disagree. Lack of ownership of our characters/accounts/data is a related issue that also needs addressed at some point as gaming continues.
DI is basically a reverse ATM
Yes, but you have a chance to earn more than you have invested (poker, blackjack, roulette)= real money. In DI you have pixels.
But, what do you choose, “real money” or colored pixels that won’t pay your bills?
Show me a mobile game that is considered even a worse pay to win than Immortal. That game is so bad that Wyatt’s Blizzcon meme should’ve been; “Are you guys multimillionaires yet?”
I am sure there are mobile games that are non freemium and free to play. Where the MTXs are cosmetic and account services that are not pay to win.
No they really don’t need to have as bad of a monetization system as Immortal. It is the worst monetization system ever for good reason. Even though Genshin Impact is a freemium game but it is 10 times better than Immortal and it has made the company that made it billions. If Blizz wants Immortal to be a success then I say to them copy Genshins monetization system. Genshin Impact has been out for close to 2 years.
Unless huge changes are made to Immortal and soon it won’t even last that long. If Blizz is designing this game to be a throw away game to take us to D4. Then tell us that, but if they really want that to happen. Then they still need to make some changes that will make it happen. Because if they don’t make the needed changes to Immortal then Immortal won’t even last more than 3 months. If Immortal doesn’t vastly improve in 3 months then it will crash and burn by then.
This is the first Blizz game that has streamers and content creators that have already quit playing. The Immortal branch of maxroll has been taken down and discontinued. It has a mass exodus that if not stopped soon will cause the game to crash and burn in less than half of the average lifespan.
Show us something far worse than Immortal and we will believe you. I say you can’t because there is nothing worse than Immortal.
So condone the monetary system that is the worse system by industry standards. It is okay if the game only last for about three months without the changes that are needed. Then we are right back with nothing really new to play till D4. Which probably won’t be launched till around Q2 of 2023.
I highly doubt that the game will survive as long as you think it will. So you want to thank a whale for supporting the worse monetization system ever. I am sorry for them, that is like saying support the paying customers that pay five star quality restaurant prices but only get fast food quality. I don’t think anyone would pay $50 for a big mac meal. That is what is going on with Immortal.
The changes I am talking about that would go a long way would be the following.
- Remove all caps on the game. They are redundant and serve no other purpose than to try to force into becoming a whale, that should be optional to begin with.
- Since crests are what are used for elder rifts then make them drop during an elder rift. Both rare and legendary crest would become drops. Even if we were to get enough legendary crest to have 2 legendary crests a day it still won’t be nearly enough to catch a whale.
- Have elder rifts give us a chance at getting a legendary gem even without using crests. Where you could have the equivalent of having a chance at getting a 1, 2, or a five star (2,3, 4, 5) legendary gem to drop. Still it won’t be anywhere near being able to catch whales.
- Have other ways of earning hilts.
- Give us a way to earn eternal orbs. That way in time we can get what we need by saving up for it. Sure it would be at a rate that is no where near what a whale can do. But still in time we would be able to earn what we want.
Give us a way to earn what we want by playing the game. Then Immortal will turn around from being the worst monetization model ever to being one of the best. We don’t mind grinding to get what we want. We are not asking for much here. Just give us the chance to earn it by simply playing the game. Which we cannot do right now.
This is true, but I want to add they not only went further than they pulled a Jay Wilson on it. Then we doubled it, that was Jay Wilson’s line for things in D3.
Maaaan, the beginning of DLC’s were cancer. And look how people got used to it. That’s what we see whit mobile gameing.
Uninstalled last night, no end game, everything in the game is capped, no thanks, I am not grinding paragon at 20% xp. Paragon trees are trash, gear is not the greatest and forget pvp unless you are a whale. In the end its a very shallow game completely designed to force you to spend money and for what I have no idea, everquest in 1999 was a far better game then this steaming pile.
A very poorly designed game with ultra thin content, a storyline that looks like they spent a weekend on it, no real crafting, everything boils down to lego gems which well you really have to spend serious amounts of cash to get anyplace with. No thx, my server is dead, all of my D3 friends have quit and now I have. Have your trash back blizz.
