Yep, the 2 extra ring powers in vast majority of cases are much more benefit than 1 extra gem.
Also LoD works with regular legendaries at half strength whereas LoN rings specifically need ancients to work.
I was under the impression of LoN being useless back then as well. However, when I check No Class Set Leaderboards I always see top clears with LoN rings instead of LoD. Perhaps, they know something we donāt. It appears LoN is more defensive and that provides comfort when clearing very high content.
How so? Both give 4% per ancient item
Iām not convinced that LoN is somehow a more defensive option. There are a number defensive ring powers available that are much better option than a defensive gem for example.
By backdraws. Appears that losing two ring slots to free a legendary gem slot is not as bad as we think.
I donāt remember every detail but I recall seeing LoN builds at the top. As for defensive buff rings, it is not a big deal when you can not hybrid different Sets to require RoRG in cube. You can afford a damage increasing gem and still have a defensive jewelry at the Cube slot.
You cant really drop COE unless its a non push spec. LoN are more glass canon over LoD spec in general. No one really trades 3rd gem for defense in a push spec, fishing for low damage mobs are more desirable. Esoteric is situational, not as complete as something generic like Unity or Band of Might etc. WoL chooses LoN because zodiac is tradable.
Also in a āshort seasonā, LoN rings are more obtainable w/o legendary % to aim for.

Again wasted 1200 souls to get an ancient āokā amulet for my build.
Nothing, not even close to a good one.
And i found a primal amu this day, and this was abssolute garbage.
Think that makes fun ? That is shā¦ and makes people angry.
Let us use more of the Ashes items. Increase it costs. First item, second item cost more, third item cost more etcā¦
Atm im pissed and this game is NOT funny.
Let us craft items at least in solo selffound mode.
My strat is to āKadalaā for missing gear. Upgrade rares from her when I have the mats. work towards BiS gear. Reroll only the last pieces (usually rings) in order to have something good to augment.
I too have wasted mats on something I ended up salvaging when something better dropped. That is why I wait until absolutely necessary to spend mats.

Ok, now i incredible pissed off.
I have a very good primal ashen Weapon, but i cant use it because i have made an ashenJekangbord because i needed a good one first.
I played a few days and had over 2000!!! Souls.
I tried to craft a better weapon or a primal maybe ( if possible) but bullsā¦!!!
All time wasted.
And before someone says ancients and primals arent needed, of course they do if you play LoD Char and not 0815 char that everyone plays.

Thatās 40 reforges and you didnāt get a single ancient result at all?
No matter what build we play, we need patience and luck. And LoD builds usually takes longer to assemble, if you want the fullest power. Often times people will farm the necessary stuff with an ordinary build.
Gearing LoD builds takes time and requires patience. You donāt need every item to be ancient while you are still in the process gearing, you lose only half of your power if all items are non-ancient with maxed LoD. Thatās less than 5 GRs difference.

Another word to Groot: The game is still fun and entertaining to play even though it can be frustrating when everything seems to go against you (in terms of luck with drops, rolls or whatever). Donāt focus too much on shortcomings but instead head out and kill some monsters and forget about all the problems.

To me, the problem with the paragon cap is that the game now is mostly about getting as good gear as possible and then the only thing really left to do is fishing for higher GR clears. The element of improving toughness and damage with paragon points is totally gone.
With the āoldā system you would (or could) at least be rewarded with something (the extra points) while farming for souls even with failed reforges en masse.

The idea with paragon Cap was good with Focus on items, but im tired chasing the carrot in front of me. The Devs did not thought through this.
That was to much wasted time.
You just want everything to be handed to you for zero investment. Thatās not how loot hunt games like D3 work. If you want the loot, you quit whining and put in the effort, just like everyone else.
As I already said, fully gearing LoD builds takes time and patience. I know this from personal experience, after fully gearing multiple LoD builds for many classes. And I did that the hard way with only dropped items almost exclusively, rerolling was used very little. The advantage of LoD is that not having perfect gear or even ancients doesnāt cripple the builds, they do still work. You still have most of the power. Perfecting the build takes time.
But if you rather moan and quit, not a single tear will be shed.

Iād like to have a recipe that unlocks crafted primals. Like 300 Primordial Ashes + Crafted Primal ā Regular Primal with same stats as the crafted one.
It would be more fun like that.
2000 Forgotten Souls for rerolls is like nothing. Iāve used up so much more this seasonā¦ I got a few good pieces this season but still would kove to see some reliable way to move from ancients to primals

Farmed hundred of Hours in d2 classic, and d2 remake.
Same with Titan Quest, Grim Dawn and Van Helsing.
But here it doesnt work.
