Demon Hunter Shadow Feedback/balance

Hi Devs!

Thanks for taking a look at the niche and fun playstyle of Shadow impale in the upcoming patch.

As countless others have stated, the new damage mod on Holy Point Shot really needs to be upped to ~250-300% in order to be a comparable RGK option to Crusader/Barb/Necro. Not sure on the exact number, but that’s my “feeling” after lots of play with a well geared non-season DH.

Additionally, Shadow is one of the only sets without a 50% toughness mod (we get 35% DR from perma shadow power). Would it be possible to up DR on Shadow Power: Gloom to 50% to help survivability in high GR’s?

Broken record here I know. But I’ma just keep regurgitating that Impale still has no effective way to clear trash that some RG’s spawn…That other classes can also better deal this problem alot more easily. As long as this continues to be an issue then Impale RGK still wont be meta, or even near as viable.

400-500% is better. Also make it so the added 2 extra daggers do the same damage. Then Shadow can att least join some semi metas.

The 2 added daggers already do the same damage. Its just that after they hit the first target, their damage drops off to almost nothing since the set states that only the first target to be hit has 75.000% multiplier.

And the set doesnt need to clear trash to spawn the RG. It hunts elites and especially yellow elites, collects the globes and can potentially run 105`s in 4-5 minutes. Without trashclearing lol.

And the specific term “RGK” is meant for 4 players only anyways. Where someone else is the trashkiller. The DH in this role is to mainly kill the riftguard at the end in an effective time and manner while also being a support at best while the trashkiller does his job (by using the wolf companion to boost damage for example).

Its damage has to go to at least 200% on the quiver. And even more to be competitiv to the crusader.

Quiver needs 400-500% damage for this set to functions well. Dagger needs 500% also. The set 6p needs to apply to all targets hit both from extra daggers and penetration.

The 6 piece should not apply to ALL targets hit. That would be OP and would make cold rune mandatory instead of the current diversity of choice we enjoy.

Rift Boss adds are a problem, but with tight play you can usually reposition.

Let’s start with the necessary damage/toughness boost just to bring it in line with Crusader and Barb single target and see from there
