It could, but it would be highly inefficient to do it. Seems fine to me. Options.
For leaderboard purposes you could always only count the <15 minute clears or whatever. If there should be leaderboards for those at all.
I think that is kinda awesome 
Doing it as a challenge, and not because it was the best way to get gear or anything.
