i’m honestly curious, why does trading make the game better for you? Not a troll question i just don’t understand it. with trading the game loop is:
Play game > get drop i can’t use usually > trade for currency > buy item i can use.
without trading and a good loot system the loop is:
play game > get drop i can use, see if it’s an upgrade or not > play game more if it isn’t
I personally like a carrot to chase and working towards perfectly rolled gear every season. Once i get the perfect gear i enjoy augmenting that gear and seeing how high i can push on leaderboards. Yes you can attain the same result with trading but i find the way current d3 does it much more enjoyable but in the end it’s the same result you just get there differently.
If blizzard can find a way to perfectly balance between open trading and playing to get drops i’m all for it, i just know that, from my perspective, that’s not the case in vanilla D3 and PoE, and to a certain extent it was not the case in d2 either (d2 was rampant with pindel bots and duping, at least when i played) in those games it is/was much better to find good farming methods to get tradeable things for currency and buy the items you need rather than attempt to just farm the item you need, for the most part…
