D4 should watch Lost Ark closely

Since it’s a mmo, I’m guessing raids are one part of it’s endgame.

They are not. Raiding, PvP, solo chaos dungeons, filling out your atlas, dailies, weeklies, events, as well as boss hunts, the tower of infinity, and the cube dungeon.

There is a plethora of things to do.

Well we know D4 has:

Keyed dungeons
World bosses
PvP
World activities (probably dailies and weeklies)

We will know more next month. They already said they’re talking about endgame in the next quarterly update.

I certainly do hope D4 has raid style boss fights like Path of exile and Lost Ark have, and by raid style I mean not world bosses. Instanced raid fights.

but that’s the only thing I hope D4 has in familiar with those games. I think D4 is already doing great in the other areas of the game.

Lost Ark has some scary looking mobs… don’t think i saw any tree mobs

Really? I honestly haven’t seen any that looked scary imo (at least not from all the trailers and gameplay videos).

Better than a tree though. I seriously hope DIABLO 4 is really terrifying.

I mean that’s just one monster, and I’ve honestly haven’t seen anything from Lost Ark that’s more terrifying that that wood wraith. Now that’s not me saying that the wood wraith is terrifying or scary; it’s just me saying that I haven’t seen anything from Lost Ark that screams terrifying.

All in all, it takes more than one monster to make the game terrifying. There’s also mood, ambiance, tone, etc.

We’ll hear and see more from Diablo 4, but for now, it looks like it’ll be plenty terrifying from what we’ve seen thus far (imo at least).

They don’t have to make D4 into a clone of Lost Ark nor should they. They should be two totally separate games.

Also we will learn more about the endgame systems for D4 in about a month to six weeks from now. I am hoping that they will put up that blog before the holidays.

They’re going to talk about the endgame progression system, the equivalent of D3’s paragon in D4. I’d love it if they broach endgame activities next month, but it seems unlikely, especially since the blog will also contain an article about visual effects.

There are also tree monsters in D2 and D3.

Ima be like DIE to that tree because i hate the look of it. In my eyes it ruined the moment. And that ferrit disturbed the background more than a giant tree.

Well there’s nothing wrong with that imo.

As long as they are available for solo play then I agree. If they have anything where you are forced to group or have to queue to find other players to complete the thing then no. For the record, I don’t consider world bosses in D4 to be the same kind of group activity I described.

No? Nothing wrong with it at all i guess LOL. For you.

The zombies in that game look like trash. Then again they dont look that great in D3 either, but that is an old game…

Here’s what they said in June 2021:

And here’s what they said in October 2021:

Did they say something else after this? Where did you hear about the update being exclusively on endgame progression/paragon’s equivalent?

Is this like Challenge Rifts? I saw some timer in these.

Btw, there are some videos from 2016, is LA really that old?

Where did you here endgame systems refers to endgame activities ? I may be wrong to assume it’s about endgame character progression, but then almost everyone on this forum may be wrong too since we all are pretty sure this is what they mean.

Nothing wrong for me too, and for anyone afaik, except you. This monster was already in the 2019 demo btw.

Endgame systems sounds to me like more than just specifically endgame progression, the D4 equivalent of D3’s Paragon to be exact, which is what you very specifically said the update was going to be about. but it’s clear now that you just made that up, because you are a liar.

Stop lying and pretending you have any clue what’s actually coming in the update.

You didn’t say it, but heavily implied it. If I flip you the bird, I’m not “saying” anything, but you’re getting the message anyway.

Then I guess everyone on the forum is a liar, except you of course. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Don’t get me wrong, I sincerely hope you’re right and they will adress everything endgame-related next month. It’s just that it seems unlikely if they have to share with the topic of visuals effects, unless it’s a much bigger blog than anything they’ve released until now.
