D4 is just new version of D3

Blizzard got it wrong again, I just think they don’t have “it” in them anymore, from now on I don’t hold my breath on something from Blizzard out of expectation just to save my big disappointment. The D4 game play is just so cartoonish like kids’ show on Saturday moring, how the hell will I fall in love with it? GG Blizzard

If you bothered to clean your glasses, Maevis, you’d notice how smoother D4 seems to play compared to D3. Feels a lot like Wolcen in its crispness.

Moral of the story: if you’re gonna troll…at least put some effort into it. Otherwise it’s only yourself you’re ridiculing.

Have you seen the Model designs for the Classes in Diablo 2?

Have you actually seen some of the Demons?

Was for another thread but plays equal here:

The models looked very good from what I saw. Spell effects could use some more love but we don’t know, from what I heard, what stage in development this is.

If Alpha this looks on point for what I would expect.

If Phase 1 Beta I think it could have been a bit better but still alright

If later then I’d probably agree to a degree.

The cinematic hit very good notes, the intro video hit very good notes, and the gameplay coloring looked decent from what we saw but hard to judge not seeing it in person.

I must have been watching a different Gameplay to you. As D4 Gameplay looks AMAZING. Exactly the right direction

Yeah, because if the game industry is known for one thing its game play trailers having an accurate representation of the final product. Oh wait.

Thank you" I thought exactly the same.

Nothing has changed. We will get a new D3. But as we say in Sweden, the president got a new tie. That is all.

And D3 sold 30 million units and you are still here…if D4 is an improved D3 then fantastic.

From what I saw color contrast is there, when you see blood it doesn’t look like a smudge at the background. More importantly artstyle returned to its roots. No more huge shoulderpads, no more wacky looking kneepads.
It’s still shiny as D3 but that was expected, may be they should tone down spell effects to be more opaque and I shake off that feeling too. Hope I hear from D3 this year.

The only major complaint of mine is, I didn’t like the cinematic… Not because of its art style or anything, I think you can relate to what I mean. We asked for blood and gore, they made it rain. We asked for plot twists, they pushed one right away. Even if it’s a bit edgy I’m fine with that, those didn’t repel me.

What I’m NOT fine is, they pick another “victim” to get the story going. I always thought Tyrael to be mischievous as in having another agenda, I didn’t imagine him to go out like that. He was totally unaware that he created cannibalistic Barbarians the moment he shattered the Worldstone. All that boiled down to his curiosity?

Was that Tyrael? Seemed rather emaciated and a bit more tattoo’d.

I caught it in the middle, I hope not but “I came here for knowledge” was a huge hint in my opinion. Also he kept muttering “light protects me”. He should’ve embraced the death instead of falling victim, that defies everything we knew about Tyrael. I hope I’m wrong and it wasn’t Tyrael. He doesn’t have his armor.

I like the character selection screen. A clear nod to Diablo 2. I hope there are more nods like it throughout the game.

im ok with it man.
if it is a better version of d3 thats all i need.

Judging the game by what very little you know and seen?

Okay…

There is absolutely zero basis for this statement. And for the record, Diablo 3 isn’t the sunshine playground it is made out to be either. People literally base that viewpoint on a level that is a joke Easter egg. It just isn’t AS dark as the first two games. And frankly, there wasn’t anything all that dark about Diablo 2 after Act 1 either.

As long as it doesn’t play/progress like D3…

As long as colour scheme change doesn’t come with getting rid of that stupid WoW-like animations and models, D4 won’t bring back the satanic image you are trying to achieve. That’s even more important in terms of bulding atmosphere if you ask me.
