My point was; there everyone literally cant be number 1 in PvP. Impossible.
In PvE, even if you make a super hard boss, in theory, everyone might manage to beat it.
We sure have heard the claims of impossible to beat content before, from game devs, that turned out not to be
Note that rewards stop scaling at Heat 20.
Also, to call Hades a very skill based game… eh, it is a very RNG based game, more than anything.
Hades also isnt a good example of a skill-based game where time doesn’t matter (which you claimed was your definition), since it has plenty of grinding in it. You really do get stronger if you put in more time. Not endlessly, luckily, but for quite a while.
Which btw, brings me back to:
I have gotten the impression in the past that you subscribed to the opposite view; that higher difficulty must have higher rewards. But you dont anymore?
I am very much in favor of optional content, with no rewards, and have argued for that forever. But for a discussion that sprang from another discussion about “completing” a game, and having Ubers from D2 as an example, it seems like a different thing.
Yeah, multiplayer is always problematic.
As long as Diablo 4 is 100% soloable, and at the same difficulty as multiplayer, that wont be an issue at least.
