When did the numbers become an issue in D3? It was well after the release of RoS in 2014. When they moved past torment 6 and started adding thousands to tens of thousands damage modifiers to entice players to try out lesser played builds/sets.
This was well after the game was essentially dead and the cycle of seasons began.
As of now we saw a max leveled, maxed out paragon Rogue do a few hundred thousand damage. I’m pretty sure that is all you are going to see.
