D4 blog is up, enjoy

The Wood Wraith sounded great but my favourite by far was seeing actual darkness outside of the lit cave in Fractured Peaks. The breaking object sounds were also very impressive. Each tiny piece continued to make a sound as it tumbled and I even saw some floating debris about 11 seconds in. Very solid update but was banking on hearing some unusual instruments and music. Sort of how Mick Gordon used very odd, old Soviet era instruments to get a unique sound.

Iā€™m personally satisfied with last yearā€™s update about items. Unless thereā€™s been another major revamp, or itā€™s about some more specific side issues like runes or affixes (especially those huge +attributes in last Blizzcon Rogue weaponsā€¦), Iā€™d prefer them to focus on different topics.

Yeah, Iā€™m mostly talking about runes, runewords, crafting, and etc (pretty much the things that werenā€™t really covered in last yearā€™s December update).

Iā€™m using a Sound Blaster ZxR, but have a spare X-Fi Titanium HD just in case the ZxR dies.

The Wood Wraith sounds really creepy and scary in a good way.
The enviroment and their background sounds are really good.
Destruction sounds are also good.

Lots of small sound details plus the nice graphics make a very nice atmosphere for the game.

Now lets hope the character progression, itemization, gameplay and endgame content will also be this level of quality.
