Everytime i play ill get these lag spike that my ping will go from 129ms to 500 ms and 1700ms of witch the game lags when it stops im dead with a solid red bar on connection . I have ran the trace route and mtu and show there is a problem when the trace is heading into the netherlands area there are 3 jumps that there is 100%loss and then it picks up on down the line . Ill be glad to post staceroutes mtu and dxdiag file i just want this crap fixed
Use this… Running WinMTR …then post your results into this thread so we can see which network nodes might be causing your problems.
Those are most likely Blizzard’s network edge routers / switches, which de-prioritise or drop ICMP traffics (which is what PING and TRACERT use).
Not only Blizzard, but also some ISPs do that too.
@cranium, it is normal for devices to be configured this way.
You should post the whole report for support to analyse.
Paste the report between two “~~~” lines, like this:

We’d be happy to take a look at the WinMTR test that was requested earlier. Run the test until the problem occurs for 10 to 15 minutes. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

So what is the IP for the PTR. I am getting horrible lag an would like to run WinMTR but the ptr host is not listed on the site
@Flyball, the PTR is not supported by technical support as it is in testing phases, we can only assist with the live version of the game. To report issues with the PTR, please refer to the #ptr-bug-report.
