Computer Crashes after 30 minutes in PTR

Hello,

It may just be my old computer, but after about 30 minutes of play time PTR freezes, goes to a white screen and the entire computer becomes unresponsive. The computer needs a restart just to get playing again. I played season 18 and did not have a problem.

I lowered all of my graphic settings to the lowest possible, and that allowed a bit longer play time, but the game still crashed. Launched the repair tool to fix the PTR files, but nothing corrupt was found.

I have an old Radeon 6800HD which is no longer supported. My drivers are as up-to-date as they can be. Built my computer for the launch of D3 and it has served me well.

This is the first instance of the game crashing. Have been able to play other games with no issues.

Do you have the same foreground and background FPS settings on live client and on PTR? In any case try to lower those settings, as they tended to overheat my older GPU’s.

It’s the only thing I remember of that was “borked” a long time ago in D3.

ya i can tell my cpu/gpu runs hotter on the ptr always then live , same settings
