I actually found out recently that if I do a gaming marathon using the PS5 controller my left wrist will start to hurt severely and I have to stop. So far mouse/keyboard has not caused any grief. I am 62, and my fingers have arthritis but it has not affected my typing and gaming yet except for maybe some slowdown in my reaction times.

I’m not sure if you’ve gotten through yet, but this was my approach to solving the challenge, and I never play necro.

1. See pack. Send skeletons at a weak thing to kill it.
2. Explode that corpse, and then assuming the explosion kills more, keep exploding until the area is mostly clear.

Beyond that the general rift principles apply:
A) Focus on the elites that give progress orbs, and maybe big packs, and don’t worry about “cleaning up” everything.
B) Aim for pylons. If you’re repeating the map, remember the layout and skip the dead ends in favor of more elites and pylons.
C) Try not to get hit.

I found it somewhat amusing that the CR build they chose was the build that guides and youtubers were saying to use to power-level yourself to 18.

I just did the button mashing thing as well. Just had to be sure I button smash on the corpses. Second level is where things get easier due to the pylons helping a bunch.

Thanks, that is the guide I was using to level. I do have the first 2 Altar points. My biggest problem is now with not having gold. I did level my blacksmith to 6 then ran out of gold. The weapons and gear I can craft are way lower than what I am finding while playing. I now have 10k gold left.

I believe that a Level 6 Blacksmith can craft level ~40 items, so you should be able to outfit your low level character fairly well. A few points:

(1) Have him craft items in the weapons category only. Do not craft armor.
(2) Always select the yellow craftable item that is at the top of the list offered.
(3) Go back to your Necro and use him to to get more gold and to, possibly, raise the Smith higher than 6. You don’t have to change characters at Level 18.

I have no gold literally only 10K right now. I’m still lv 25 and just reduced the game to normal as I cannot kill anything above that level.

Now I was glad they switched the Challenge rift to Barbarian, but now they made the route so long 6 floors? really. No I don’t die but my times are 11 mins. Is there a guide that shows where and how to go?
