am at torment 16 but cant seem to access lvls beyond 85, why?
You still have to run GRs to unlock them with speed being a factor. So, run the 85 GR. If you complete it, it should open up at least 86 but possibly 88. Run that. Repeat.
When you ran a Torment 16 Nephalem Rift, that immediately gave you access to do a GR75, as they are nominally equivalent difficulties (you can see this when you look at the Obelisk in town, some GR ranks have torment equivalents in brackets). After that, you have to unlock access to additional, higher GR ranks as follows…

This doesn’t have to be solo. For example, if you grouped up with someone who took you through a GR100, and they did it in under 5 minutes, that would grant you access to do anything up to GR103 afterwards.
