More like if you are not a father do not tell me how to raise my children. Monday morning quarter backs never play the game they just find fault with everyone on the team. :football: If the OP does not like Immortal that is his call, why is he telling other people what to do?

Karen’s reaction to Immortal

If you do something blatantly wrong, yeah I will. If I see someone smack their kid I say something. Loud and unpleasant.

The quote I replied to was very specific, and you failed to answer.

I mean it was quite clear what type of game this was when they first announced it back in 2018. If you’re not into it then by all means don’t play it. Others are into it and will as such continue to play it and may or may not spend money on it.

People forget how much it cost to play in the Diablo 3 with AH. You spend money to by Gold. But that was OK then for 2yrs. So in a way D3 started out as a P2W game too. But because they were losing money on the AH they close it.

So D3 is just like DI in the beginning. If you didn’t spend the money for Gold to get good stuff then you had a crap character. So tell me what the difference today with DI vs D3 was10 yrs ago???

I cleared/farmed inferno just fine without ever using real money on the AH. I bought a manticore with gold, that was the extent of my trading in total.

Not really, you went on a rant saying ā€œdon’t tell me what to doā€ in a number of ways, all entirely irrelevant for the question what your spending has to do with the marketing of Immortal.

You might have done it, but there were a lot of people spend a lot money. Plus more on the 3rd party sites. The thing I’m get at is D3 was basically the same way. But people are slamming DI for the same thing. LOL

But that doesn’t mean it was a required thing to do. Just like spending in DI. It’s not required to enjoy the game.

Not really. I would say there’s a chasm between requiring money and having the option to spend money. You NEED to spend money in DI to be competitive, in D3 with AH you COULD spend money, but there was no need.

Maybe not, but it is required if you want to compete.

Sigh…a little asterisk indicating which classes could possibly beat Inferno purely with finesse would have been nice. And by nice I mean, a game changer for me. Ah well. /tosses a manticore into the bonfire

Zero, it cost me zero. I HATED the AH, felt it ruined the loot hunting game, and was thrilled when it went away.

If someone is like me, super casual loot hunter, then Immortal is a lot of fun and free. If someone wants to play end game PvP activities, it is really hard to compete without spending money. It just depends on how you like to play the game.

I will probably toss $5 on a Battlepass on seasons I think the cosmetic is good. Beyond that, I don’t need anything from it. It provides a lot of good monster killing and reward/loot systems. I have always played Diablo games to sort of zone out and mow down monsters to reduce my stress levels and frustrations. It works well for that.

But I don’t care about leaderboards.

Same for me I run solo as much as I can and do not care about what others are doing.

Personally I don’t care for it so I don’t play. I never thought it was something I should post about.

And how is that in any way relevant to the argument that the system is fundamentally different between AH D3 and Immortal?

Same. I play for fun, not for competition so I am not impacted by the end game stuff.
