Blizzcon will be better than it has been in like 10 years

Nothing to troll about. I got the D4 case right and I want my half point .

A 2nd diablo 3 expansion is not possible sorry it has been cancelled and diablo 3 is now somewhat in maintenance mode but well supported with some update patches. They made a post being very clear whats next for diablo 3. The biggest thing coming for diablo 3 is a new set for each class.

We talk about the 2016 case. Right now D3 expansion would be a miracle.

For this game all I did to keep track was to check diablofans website along with this website. That only took a few minutes day at most.

The only time I took longer was when there was major news and you had youtubers covering it. Watching a few videos not only from past Blizzcons but also late breaking news from time to time. I will probably treat D4 the same way. Where I would probably spend less than 5 minutes a day staying up to date on the news of the development of D4. Then I can decide if I want to play it when it comes out.

The reason why I do this is so that I know the direction the game is going and know if I will enjoy playing it or not.

Who’s to say that it might not be sooner than that. We don’t know how long that they have been working on it. If the Kotaku article is right and they didn’t scrap that other iteration of it. Where they have to start all over again from scratch then they will be a lot further along in the development than we think. So 18 months might be the window after all.

Which will set up fine with the next seven seasons which could be themed around one of the classes. Where it will take an entire seven seasons to dole out all of the new legendary powers and class sets, along with the QoL changes and balance changes mentioned in the blog.

Aren’t D:I characters based on D3’s art. That would mean that their armor and shoulder pads would be off because they are not inspired by WoW.

Maybe this is so, yes. D3/DI barb with D4 armor. Hmm… Let’s hope!

why are you responding seriously to more than obviously sarcastic comments

Because it’s pointless. What would we bet? And you don’t have anything TO bet, anyway, since you’ve been wrong the last several years.

I write nonsense? Your whole flippin’ hype train is nonsense and you know it! Even if you end up being right it’s only because you guessed correctly. If you bet on black enough times, you’re going to win eventually. There’s nothing special about it.

That would be true if I had ever made the argument that D4 wouldn’t be announced at Blizzcon 2019. However, I have not done that and I defy you to prove otherwise.

My only stance is that hyping for the potential announcement is stupid and counterproductive whether or not it happens, and I absolutely believe that.

lol.

If anything, it’s you who want attention. You’re the one who created a thread to hype Blizzcon. Rampant unfounded speculation is exactly the kind of behavior attention seekers engage in.

Ok, my stance is that it is fun and sharing potential D4 news is not stupid. Now, since we cleared things, stop with the nonsense comments.

They have already told us a couple of the multiple projects over the year already:
D1 remaster farmed out to another company.
Adding some stuff to D3.

These qualify as “multiple projects”. They had their biggest PR fail in the history of the company. If they had something big so close to being ready, they wouldn’t wait an entire year to reveal it. There have been several con’s throughout the year they could have released something to get the PR going in the right direction. Instead, we got a farmed out d1 remaster and some more low level stuff for D3. The Diablo franchise front stage was last year.

This year will be WOW xpac and stuff for their other big cash cows which Diablo is not. They will throw the D2 remaster, because it is the last one to be released along with D:I release date coattailing it. D4 ain’t going to happen this year.

If anyone makes enough predictions, they are going to get a few right. 2016, 2017, 2018 I said there was no chance we were getting a D4 announcement, so I guess I am Nostradamus too.

That is why you look at the ratio of right:wrong predictions. Mine is pretty good, just as yours it seems. We shall see who gets this year right then.

You don’t do PR for first announcement.

I didnt hear about Diablo 1 Remaster and it is probably not one of their project if its not official from Blizzard and adding stuff to D3 is not a project, its just updating something that is already out. No new project have been revealed this year so far and it looks like they are saving all for their own Con which make sense, why have your own convention if you show all your stuff at other ones.
They did in the past but lately they keep everything for blizzcon.

If you are refering Diablo 1 Remaster to diablo 1 available on GOG . com that is not a new unannounced diablo project that is just a port, same for diablo 3 on Nintendo Switch.

It is called building hype. Had they announced D4 at one of the other con’s, with the promise that the game play and much more would be revealed at Blizzcon, they would sell a ton of Virtual Tickets. Instead, they have gone radio silence and have left the majority of their fan base very angry. You aren’t going to sell a ton of Virtual Tickets on some employee saying “going to be the best Blizzcon in 10 years!!!”. After several lackluster Blizzcon’s (especially on the Diablo front), they are going to have to do a lot more to build the hype rather than drop a few hints that are very ambivalent.

When they say “Multiple Projects”, they do not necessarily mean new games.
D3 ported to Switch was a project
Lore book was a project
Mobile trash game that was partnered with another company was a project
D1 remaster farmed out to another company was a project
Adding new content to D3 is yet another project

They will sell more once they reveal the D4 cinematic at the opening ceremony, which is free to watch. That’s A-B-C psychology - people buy most when they are emotionally dragged, not other way.

According to the above the best approach is to say there will be no new announcements at Blizzcon 2019 for any of their games. No potential announcements of anything that we don’t already know. So according to you this Blizzcon they will just chat about what we already know right.

That way you can even totally ignore Blizzcons. Even covering your ears going la, la, la, la not listening when others that have been there try to tell you about the news that came out of Blizzcon.

They didn’t have anything ready for Diablo other than the phone game at last year’s Blizzcon.

You really think that Blizz didn’t make any money off of porting this game to NS. I am sure they made a ton of money that can be funneled into D4. So there is a good chance that D4 will be announced this year at Blizzcon.

Besides I don’t think that they will announce Immortal’s release at Blizzcon unless they have something else to say other than more details on the ongoing support of this game. They have to give conclusive proof that Blizz hasn’t abandoned us PC/Console Diablo players.

Besides some of them they said they have to show us instead of tell us. They haven’t shown us anything new yet for Diablo. So Blizzcon is the best place to show us some of the new projects other than Immortal.

There’s usually 1-2 weeks between seasons which means you’re making a prediction with a 50% chance of guessing which Friday they’ll pick. So, essentially a coin toss chance of being right versus a 99% claim of an expansion announcement and being wrong.

They made the video saying ‘‘forges are burning hot’’. You seriously thought they would make a video like that for books ? believe what you want but diablo fans are pc gamers, i don’t think a book and some ports is the hot stuff they are mentioning in the video to get us excited about. They could have a new shirt in the blizz store is that another secret project ?
Personally the only project revealed so far for me is immortal, D2 HD and D4 is coming next other things that are not games does not count, its just extra stuff like the net flix series and lore books.

No, that’s stupid.

The best approach is to (possibly) watch Blizzcon and enjoy it if things happen, rather than set yourself for a lot of disappointment if it doesn’t.

This is, again, stupid. I pay attention to what comes out during and after Blizzcon. I just don’t burden myself with unrealistic and unfounded expectations beforehand.

If D4 gets announced, great. I’ll look forward to its release. I just won’t be standing/sitting around working myself up about it. I’ll be doing other things.

I’ll tell you what.

I’ll stop with the comments you view as nonsense if you stop posting nonsensical hype about Blizzcon.

Deal?
