The D4 website is up and mentions talents, skill
points and runes.
I’d link to it but I can’t

Yes, if they confirm no cooldown and the bare minimum RPG elements like attributes that measure your char capabilities not linked towards your boots, i will pre order.
Thanks for the info!
I’m hyped!
(But, they’re going to need an Archer Class. )
Thanks a lot. Where is the diablo site? And they mentioned something about CDs?
I tried entering the address but it wouldn’t let me post it.
Try diablo[dot]blizzard[dot]com
Yay!! It’s lookin good. Going to be interesting to hear the discussion on loot and character customization.
The change of direction from D3 is fantastic. Really confirms how shallow and unacceptable D3 is as far as a Diablo game goes.
Night gathers, and now our watch begins.
Your link will look similar to this: https://d3resource.com/journey/index.php

Thank you so much! Making a note for future posts.
I honestly wouldn’t mind paying a small monthly fee if it meant new content on a regular bases like other pay to play games
Shiny, waxy, sparkly, not sure how to describe it, but the lighting looks over-harsh. That’s what I remember seeing in PoE too. It’s like there is a weird spotlight over the player, doesn’t look like natural specular lighting.
The facial rendering quality looks like something from 10 years ago, like Mass Effect 2 quality. Definitely well inside the uncanny valley. If the in game models aren’t super-high quality they shouldn’t use them for close-up cinematic style work.
The cinematic trailer looks amazing though. I was super hyped when I saw that. Then it faded when I saw the gameplay trailer.
They brought the Druid and the sorc back, time to bring the zon back too.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a different Class… as long as they could wield Bows/Crossbows and Melee Weapons.
It’s a fantasy game. I don’t need photorealism to pique my interest. PoE’s graphics are between D2’s and D3’s, yet I like the game. Why? Mechanics and depth. Those two things matter more than graphics. It’s why I like games like Celeste. Celeste taxes my skills and reflexes. Nevermind it has graphics that would make the NES scowl, but it has skill based play. It forces you to memorize, look for patterns, and to anticipate, qualities few games have these days.
Graphics don’t make the game. They can enhance it, but in the end, it’s gameplay mechanics and depth that ultimately determine how good a game is. D4 could have the most gorgeous graphics in the world, but if its gameplay is garbage, I’d pass it up in a heartbeat. However, even if its graphics weren’t as awe inspiring as say, Horizon: Zero Dawn or Witcher 3 (PC) w/ 4k texture mod, if it has gameplay that I like, I’ll likely have a blast with it.
