i changed battletag yesterday but it won´t update on the forums. what gives?
It can take days / weeks before the link from your forum avatar’s “View Profile” thing will link to your new Battletag. Just seems to be a very slow / infrequent back-end process that does this after a name-change. Some people have suggested that a password change can force a refresh of the back-end data, but it’s sporadic as to whether this will work.
Short version… you’re just going to have to wait.

In addition to the force refresh using a password reset, you can also logging out of the forums and logging back in from the menu in the top right (Click your battletag in the top right). Discourse forum account data usually rebuilds when you log back in. A lot of our console players for Overwatch have to do that to post in other forums after linking their console accounts.
