About half a dozen seasons ago I walked away from Diablo entirely. I didn’t do the ‘exit interview’ post like most people.
I came back when I heard about the Altar for season 28. There was about a month left and I got my LoN dart build up to gr 135 solo. I ended up rank 20 on the no-six-piece leader board for the Witch Doctor. I’m not that good of a player. I chalk it up to no one playing A-tier builds when S-tier can solo 150. All in all it was nice making the top of something for a change.
I’m no longer the leader of the Achievement Hunters. I REALLY quit everything with no plan to ever come back.
Plans change I guess. I’m actually happy to be back. I’d even pay for new DLC if that ever happened.
Seeing as we are officially in the last “new” season I would deem that exceedingly unlikely.
It could be a $5 DLC that sets the new max item level to 80. The highest T to 21 and the highest GR to 200. It would take almost no coding and be a major cash grab. Instantly ruin everyones’ gear. Torpedoes in the water!
It would though as it would require quite a large rescaling of values as 150 is already pushing the limits of how large numbers the game can handle.
Hammer, take a page out of my book.
“Don’t stop playing D3 when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.” “Everyone fails sometimes and D3 isn’t supposed to be fair, much less bend to your every whim.” “You must recognize what you are about to do, highlight what you do not like about it, and spend time visualizing each and every obstacle you can.” - my idol
Welcome back Hamz, D3 is fun.
I also came back after a long break and started late is season 26 or 27, I forget. But I did enjoy S28. Sad to hear that D3 will be in maintenance mode starting with season 30. But, its been a looong while since I played the other seasons, on a different account, so maybe a rehash will be nice.
I played D2R, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Icewind Dale and come back to D3. I love the play style, even after playing D4 for half of season 1.
Never did get the hang of the WD, maybe I’ll try out that LoD Dart build. I played it last season with Zuni and it was kind of boring. Maybe LoD will be a bit more exciting and/or rewarding.
MANY people would be willing to pay for a D3 DLC. An extra class would be nice, looking at you Druid. New items and the removal of many useless items. Maybe some new gems. I don’t know. I am sure Blizzvisionsoft will think of something. Take… My… MONEEEEYYYYYY!!!
