While I’m excited Fist of the Heavens is the new set.
I’m just going to be honest and blunt, the new set looks very boring to say the least.
It’s literally equip 6-pieces and spam Fist of the Heavens… we could already do that with Akkhan and Legacy of Dreams. The 4-piece bonus puts it defensively behind LoD and Akkhan considerably too… requiring 50 stacks in 5 seconds from a heavy resource spending attack?
Shouldn’t Sets introduce a new mechanic? Shouldn’t they alter the way you play? Why should I be excited for this Fist of the Heavens set? The two piece bonus introduces a different legendary power more than a new mechanic… the 4/6 piece bonuses are just snooze.
Sorry to be Mr. Negative. I just don’t see what this Set offers.
Whatever they do or buff, it’s not really going to alter the way we play. It’s all been done before, unless they introduce new damage dealing spenders.
2-Piece Bonus: The charged bolts from Fist of the Heavens has a chance to cast another Fist of the Heavens
I’m curious regarding this bonus.
*What’s the chance of an additional fist of heaven being cast?
*Do the charged bolts of all fist of heaven’s cast have the chance of spawning additional fist of heavens or only manually casted fist of heavens have that chance?
Why would I waste my time with that though? There’s no buff to Smite. Smite does nothing but proc the generator half of FnR in your suggestion. That’s pointless.
When I say tie Smite into the Set, I mean something like when Smite’s chains break each enemy is hit by Fist of the Heavens.
Sigh. That’s not what the suggestion is. The suggestion was also an on the spot hypothetical of a way Blizzard could actually introduce an interesting dynamic to the set. Maybe make some of the useless Crusader items worthwhile.
Look if you’re excited for the Fist of the Heavens set to introduce zero game changing mechanics and just to be a spamming one skill kind of build. That’s on you.
This thread is to discuss why that is boring and ask Blizzard what the point of introducing such a set is.
lol. I doubt they would allow for 2 6pc bonus’s active at once. but I’m wondering why they didn’t state what slots the set includes. as that for the “theory crafting of the set” before the ptr comes out hard. as you can’t use d3planner to setup possible combos and see how they would build together. obviously the damage numbers would be worthless until updates.
