A minor mystery + 1 Question

Just to further learn the value of gems and enhancements I started a Bounty and Exploration with a Crusader. Currently I’m on GR70 with the Valor Set. Here’s the mystery —How come my Templar, who hasn’t got a set and definitely who’s not as well equipped as me, has a higher paragon listing than me? Were my strength is at 10339 and Vitality at 3268 his is rated at Strength 19622 and Vitality at 14654?
And the question is —Is the Invoker and Akkan set stronger than the Valor?

Followers have an innate 2.5 times multiplier to stats. This means if you equipped a Templar with gear whose STR added up to 10,000 STR, the Templar would end up with 25,000 STR. Likewise for DEX, INT and VIT.

As to Valor…

However the build still stands as one of the strongest Rift Guardian Killers and one of the strongest solo builds across all classes. The raw power of the set itself also makes it very easy to get into higher difficulties straight away, even before the full build is completed.

Even with the nerf taken into account, Bombardment Crusader is the second best Crusader solo build. It also can be used as a GR150-capable trash clearer, although better options exist there.

One thing I’d mention is that gearing for the Akkan/Invoker hybrid is a tough gear hunt because it’s a Thorns build. Whilst Invoker gear pieces automatically come with a guaranteed Thorns secondary affix, Akkan pieces do not. This means you not only have to find Akkan pieces with desirable primary affixes, but they also need to have Thorns secondaries. It’s much tougher to find ancients for this due to the tight affix requirements.
