Its week 3. The only ppl pushing are stteamers trying to make their Rank 1 Clear!!! Video while they still can.
Can you imagine the lag would cause with Fissure?
On a serious note, the skill’s weapon damage and supporting legendary effect modifier have to multiply out to be somewhat balanced with Condemn. Going with the Unruned version of all skills:
- FotH 545% * 11 * 2 * 2.7 = 323x
- Blessed Shield 508% * 4.5 * 5 * 6 * 13 = First Hit 8,915x | Others 1,486x (Akkhan Leniency at 30 stacks)
- Shield Bash 791% * 5 * 3 = First 3 Hit 119x | Others 24x (uses Norvald’s)
- Sweep Attack 791% * 4 * 7.25 = 229x
- Condemn 1160% * 9 * 9 * 2 = 1879x
Then we multiply this by the allowed Phalanx modifiers…
- FotH + Bowmen 323 * 8 * 1.6 = 4,134x
- Blessed Shield + Shield Bearers = 1486 * 4 = 5945x
- Shield Bash + Shield Charge = 119 * 6 * 1.6 = 1,142x
- Sweep Attack + Bodyguard = 229 * 4 * 1.6 = 1468x
- Condemn + Shield Bearers = 1879 * 8 * 1.6 = 24,053x
Nothing will touch Condemn. Even allowing Sweep Attack + Bodyguards to be used with Roland’s 4pc making the build A4R4… is an 11x multiplier… it still doesn’t touch Condemn.
You’ll need some other multiplier in there.
but if they fix the scaling it would be pretty awesome and fun, right?
I like the idea. Very Marauder-ish. Blessed Shield would probably need to have some cap on ricochets, or the +6 ricochet cap from Jekangbord would have to be disabled. 5 sources of blessed shield would lag the crap out of the game with all of the ricochets happening at once.
As far as getting more damage and defense for A6 Phalcon, couldn’t they put “Phalanx now casts twice and you get 5 or 10% reduced damage from enemies per Phalanx” and then put the the 200% or so damage increase for Phalanx on Eternal Union?
Edit: Not sure how that would work with the flail that generates phalanx avatar after killing enemies while AC is active though.
Requirements to push
-
Create character, choose build, set gear and skills (fun)
-
Grind for xxxx XP (long and boring
)
-
Push GRs to compete against yourself and/or others. (fun)
Seems if there was a way to skip step 2, that would be ideal for you to get the most enjoyment out of this game, while not relegating yourself to NS and missing out on all of the seasonal themes, hmm…
Yeah… but I have a hard time imagining a change to the system that doesn’t penalize most other players more than the current system penalizes me.
After all, my fairly strong impression, from reading most of the posts here and on Reddit, is that the thing the majority of players like to do is run speeds, i.e. the thing I find the most boring. I think that people like me (and maybe you too) whose favorite thing is to dump hundreds or thousands of keys into getting a better clear, are actually a pretty small minority.
So if, for instance, they just started people at 2000 or 2500 paragon in season (i.e. as soon as you hit 70, you get 2000+ paragon to spend) I think that would be great for me. But it would pretty much ruin the game for the majority of players out there.
The stuff in the middle is why I play the game. If i had fully gg geared 10k characters just ‘there’ and it was push mode 24-7 id get bored in a week.
But to get fully geared for pushing takes a lot of farming, especially the most boring type of farming: Bounties.
Nah. Bounties are a big waste of time unless you need something ultra specific. Even then i always find the item later on just playing…
Apache222: the only guy who has Crimson and Aughild set pieces drop from regular mobs.
Crafted stuff isn’t bad, lol. If you want all primals maybe, but good usuable crafted ancients are pretty easy.
Here’s a recent example about reforges. Yesterday I did like 6 rounds of bounties, gathered up like 150 mats between the challenge rift, those, and what I had before. I was trying to improve my off-hand weapon. I had 2 ancients, neither was usable. I got all pissy, then farmed some keys, and lo and behold the offhand drops with high base damage and usuable stats. Doink.
We are the minority.
You have to realize that people are brainwashed into believing that endlessly running 1-2 min GRs is fun. Major streamers endorse them without thinking twice because this truth makes you a smarter player: you will gain more exp per hour running speed GRs.
If the advantages disappeared for 1-2 minute runs, this mode would solely be practiced in the beginning of the season for gearing up, leveling gems, or just to change the pace. The same way players started soloing more when they revamped Followers which made our solo runs easier, helping to bridge the gap between solo players and groups.
This is why I suggested changing the exp gained per GR tier from 4.5% to 7.0%, to equalize the speed GRs and pushes.
Faster is usually better. More turn-ins, more mats. More drops. I like to stay around 3 minutes, that way I can actually chill out and play. Say im on DH. He does 2-3 min 125s. I can easily do 3-4 128s or 4-5 min 130s. It’s all good xp as long as you dont waste time standing around between runs. Your gems will be higher anyways, lol.
But not only you need good crafted ancients, but good ancients in general. Pushing requires good gear, which requires farming, either bounties or GRs. There’s no way around it.
So the point stands, if they gave you 2k (or 10k) paragon after you hit 70, you would still spend quite a lot of time farming for good gear, if you wanted to push.
Yeah… this is a game, that’s part of playing. It’s fun, right? It is for me. That’s why I enjoy doing it so many hours a day.
to put that into perspective, it’s better than 95% of the entire builds in the game. It’s certainly not in a bad shape.
I was talking about S27. The Angelic Powers aren’t push friendly at all. The lag issues still stand.
Performance wise, no Angelic power on Crusader cleared GR150. That right there is a major failure to satisfy criteria…
AoV (Fists) = GR148
Seeker of the Light (Hammers) = GR135
Archangels = ???
As for nerfed Akkhan’s, it is still strong, but causes severe lag in groups with one set of Shield Bearers — not casual friendly either. I haven’t heard much praise about this build either.
It wasn’t a positive season for Crusader: watching a nerf make your top build harder to play, lagging out in solo push. Group dps was awful next to WoL Monk, Wizard, and most other classes. Unless you enjoy low GR speeds with AoV Fists, it sucked to be a Crusader.
I’m not going to hold it against folks, if they actually think that’s fun. I mean, who am I to say what is or isn’t fun for anybody else? But: when people say, “oh, running endless speeds is so boring, but I’ve got to do it…”
Well, no, they don’t have to do it.
Wait, what? It looks like there are 39 GR150 clears on the season 27 Crusader board, a bunch of which also break adjusted 150.0. What do you mean?
The powers didn’t have anything to do with the clears he meant
