Aw, Iā€™ve wanted the grandfather to be redone so badly. A shame such an iconic weapon is worthless. It took me for ever to find it in D2 and I us it such much for fun as I thought it looked the best. The grandfather and lightsaber I used in when I first started D2 with all the hacked small charms.

The time spent writing that post couldā€™ve been put forward trying to understand why ā€œDiabloā€ 3 is not just a bad game but not a Diablo game at allā€¦

Rend damage will be buffed back to 100-150%. I assume cubed version will be 150 with it fluctuating on belts that drop and are worn. 150 is better than I expected. Thank you everyone, especially Free, for fighting for Barb. Weā€™re heading in the right direction again!

Nicely done.

But, lets not forget that POE is completely different in so many ways. At its heart itā€™s a currency trading game thinly disguised as Diablo-like ARPG. Almost no one playing SSF would ever see a Starforge.

On the other hand, within a few days of starting a new D3 season, most of us have all the basic parts to progress well, without needing to trade for end-game gear.

Iā€™m not putting either system down, they are both good. Iā€™m just saying that D3 progress is way more accessible to the unwashed casual masses than POE.

Thanks everyone, we were finally heard.
I hope it is enough, but for sure this Buff, is way better then nothing.

Iā€™ll take 150%. Hyped to play Barbarian for the first time since season 4. And Iā€™m glad to see the community accomplish something good.

Agree with that! Iā€™m not the ww kind of barb, but for the very first time in S19, I shall whirl with you guys!

I agree, but I didnā€™t mean to compare both games. I love both, but Iā€™ve been doing in PoE what Iā€™m frustrated on D3, itā€™s basically that. So much room to customization, in D3 you are tunneled to 2 to 3 builds if you want to be something near efficient.

Iā€™ve wished for years for some barbarian rework, as the adding of amazing legendary powers to all sort of useless ones we have (as The Grandfather), and I would have seen them with proper rework, with relevant build-themed orange texts

GREAT WORK, FREE!

GREAT WORK, NEV!

You guys rock

I am glad that Blizzard decided on the compromise approach as was suggested by many including myself in the PTR feedback and general discussion forums relative to the lamentation rend damage modifier.

I suspect that barbarians should be thankful that the AoV crusader build was OP and being nerfed. Otherwise, I am not sure that Blizzard would have made patch 2.6.7a.

Guess Iā€™ll try out WW Rend barb after all, I just hope they didnā€™t remove the other part of the legendary power which makes rend cast twice now

ā€¦and they still claim they "Overshot it at 200%

Where did you see that

Check Diablofans first post:

Lamentation:

  • Now increases the damage of Rend by [100-150%]
  • Developerā€™s Note: As weā€™ve indicated in forum posts, we overshot on Lamentationā€™s original implementation during the 2.6.7 PTR. However, we also very much undershot the overall balance of Rend/Whirlwindā€™s adjustments by removing this bonus completely. After reading a ton of your feedback and completing our own internal testing, weā€™ve settled on a middle ground we believe reaches the balance level we were shooting for.
